Simple but sill holding together well with fresh fruit and a soft structure. #chateaupotensac #medoc #leftbank #bordeaux #ctbucklinwine — 5 years ago
Classic Left Bank #medoc earthy faint bramble fruit nose; cigar, leather, tart frame and grippy tannins. — 9 months ago
Sure, it might be still a bit young, but close to it’s peak and delicious so why wait, it’s my birthday! Opened up faster than I would have expected for a 2012 Médoc, beautifully balanced cassis fruit, acidity and velvety, well-knit tannins. Elegant but still powerful, some sediment that was easily taken care with decanting. #saintjulien #médoc — 3 years ago
Bought at the airport in Paris. Earthy, barnyardy nose. Smooth #medoc, raspberry and cassis notes. Nice finish. Great with prime rib. — 5 years ago
Nice #medoc at Lago in Bellagio. Full bodied, complex. — 5 years ago
Deep ruby almost purple hue with secondary influences of garnet. Blackberry, creme de cassis, molasses, anise, vanilla, baking spices, earth, mushrooms, leather, and tobacco notes; soft tannins, smooth on the palate; everything is in balance to deliver a deliciously elegant complement to the meal. ABV 13%. Vintage 2005. #lesfortsdelatour #lesfortsdelatour2005 #pauillac #pauillacdelatour #medoc #medocwines #frenchieattitude #winedown2019 — 3 years ago
Vintage 2012 / a favorite and reliable wine for Sunday lunch with rumpsteak, mushrooms and chicory from the oven. Some development in colour, a mix in smell of cherries and plums, vanilla. Still tannic in taste but not disturbing after aeration. This #poujeaux delivers, it is #moulis reliability. Fine wine from a year one need not to put away a decade before enjoying it. #medoc 48% cabernet sauvignon 43% merlot 6% petit verdot 3% cabernet franc — 4 years ago
#medoc #crubourgeois I'm thoroughly enjoying this. Aromas of ripe plums, dried cherries, sage and potpourri. Tertiary aromas cigars, tobacco leaf and smoked meats. On the palate there's still plenty of fruit, with a lovely texture that reminds me of plum skins. Medium+ finish. Holding on very well. — 5 years ago

2005. Portobello, loamy soil, blackberry, black cherry, violets, oyster shell, black peppercorn, grilled beef on the nose. Black and red currant, slight grapiness, cedar bark, pencil, black olive, wheat toast, fine tabac, clove, red cherry. Pointy in places, but really holding together in terms of age.
