10' Greer Cabernet. Very close to a pop & pour. Color- Dark ruby red. The nose is explosive. No rough edges. Layers of dense black fruits. Light acidity, moderate tannins. Long finish. It's a very special wine. Drinking wonderfully now. Don't know if it will get much better? Many great "prime years" in front of it.
Winner, winner chicken nugget dinner. If you're a Rutherford fan. This is a must for your cellar! Highly recommend it. GET SOME OF THIS! Edit- Kristen "This is the best bottle of wine I've had in months" — 4 days ago
02'Robert Mondavi Reserve Cabernet...decided to keep it old-school tonight. I had one bottle of this lingering in my cellar. Since we popped a 25-year-old Caymus SS tonight, let's pop a 15-year-old Robert Mondavi Res Cab.
Wow- It needed a healthy hour + decanting. Many years in front of it! Bravo… to the unexpected! — 9 days ago
92' Caymus Special Selection. Each wine tells a story .
After reading about it in Wine Spectator, in 1995/6, I scraped together some money and purchased a single bottle. This particular one has traveled with me through two apartments, one condominium, and now two homes. I've gotten married and have had two beautiful kids, since purchasing this wine.
I pulled the capsule off this about 15 years ago with the intent of drinking it with a good friend. Going through my cellar this morning looking for a few bottles to stand up for dinner tonight, I pulled this bottle out...the fill was at the bottom of the neck...needs to be consumed. Sometimes you just need to let go.
Wine- Cork was destroyed. It's surprisingly still all there. Drinking wonderfully now. It needed 10 minutes to open. Cheers everyone!
