Bold, spicy, chocolate notes. Rich! Lovely! — 13 days ago
V12. Bold wine. Cedar and crushed fruit nose. Rich black cherry and blackberry fruit. Tart, dry, earthy finish. Enjoyable — 17 days ago
Needed a couple hours to open... but shines when it gets there. Structured nose of blackberry, cassis, pipe smoke, tar, and green pepper. Not too funky. Bold and rich mouthfeel, with a punch of mid palate acidity partnered by fresh red cherry. Chalky tannins surround and drive a herbaceous finish. Medium weight. Drink or hold. — 7 days ago
Dark inky in color with a short purple rim.
Fruity nose of blackberries, sweet cherries, raisins, vanilla, cedar, licorice, cloves, cola, light vegetables, leather, coffee, chocolates, tobacco, mocha, spices and black pepper.
Full bodied, smooth and bold, with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry and fruity on the palate with blackberries, black currants, sweet cherries, figs, raisins, vanilla, cedar, licorice, cola, chocolates, mocha, coffee, tobacco, leather, graphite, beef jerky and peppercorn.
Long finish with round tannins and tangy raspberries.
This 4 year old Bordeaux Blend from Napa is very fruity with great complexity and a great mouthfeel. Well balanced and spicy. Rich, extracted and delicious.
Peaking now and will be good in the next few years.
Good right out of the bottle and better after 30 minutes of airtime, when tannins come in.
I paired it with cheeses and light appetizers, but it is so yummy all by itself. Thank you Alex for sharing this with me.

I grabbed Chateau Siaurac after no fewer than five recommendations from interspersed friends. It’s very good. It’s from a warm year with ripe fruit and registers a dense but not hot 15% ABV.
Dark fruits, chocolate, coffee, lavender, and cedar. Flavors come in ripe plums, dark chocolate, figs, and herbs. Quite rich, but soft as velvet. Balanced and bold. — 20 days ago

So tangy on the end, bold and rich at 7 years old — 15 days ago
What a fun wine. Dark black fruit on the nose continue with hints of vanilla, chocolate, stewed plums and raisins on the palate up front with a lingering bourbon finish. The wine has a lighter body with leathery tannins and a smoky finish. As it opens up, Red Cherry starts to come to the forefront
I’ve had bourbon barrel aged wines that scream bourbon and alcohol and while this one has the bourbon notes, it’s not overbearing like many others.
It does pack a punch at 15.9% ABV
