Darker gold in colour. Mineral, maybe even petrolly, nose. Subdued apricot, paraffine, floral nuances, some hazelnut, saffron, tobacco and mushroom too. Hint of orange-peel-bitterness in the mineral-driven finish. Seems a little more mature than anticipated. Don't get me wrong, I like it. But I kept wondering whether this has evolved too quickly (premox) or is this stuff extremely marked by the terroir and the choices of the winemaker...? — 16 hours ago
Sweet cherry fruit, but monolithic and an alcohol-tinged finish.
Sorry to say, but this wine does not persuade me to move into the Grenache-camp. — 12 days ago
Nose shows slightly hesitant but well defined notes of beeswax, Grand Marnier, apricotjam, cooked ham, pepper, glue and orangeblossom. Darker candied citrus nuances on the palate, which is quite refreshing and certainly not too sticky sweet. An elegant mature Sauternes, well balanced, finishing nearly dry. Would make a fine wintertime aperitif! — 10 days ago
