Uigeadail The Ultimate Islay Single Malt Scotch Whiskey

Beautiful copper color from the Sherry cask. A nose full of peat and oak with the Sherry not far behind. There is also leather and smokiness and perhaps some dark fruits like figs or plums. The mouthfeel is smooth and oily with pepper and peat replaced by sweetness, caramel, and spice. The finish is long, warming, and pleasantly smokey. One of the best Islay has to offer. — 5 days ago

Intense smoke over a solid foundation with good complexity. Whisky and cigar rolled into one — 2 months ago

10 Year Cask Strength Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky

One of the great Islay whiskeys. Throwback to my days in Asia when I drank a lot of these Islays. Powerful, smooth, delicious. Having this one on way to exploring UC Berkeley. — 2 months ago

Triple Wood Non Chill Filtered Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky 1815

Color of black tea. Nose is peaty, fermented grains, spices, and some ripe fruit note. Taste follows similar notes with addition of sweet caramel. Aftertaste is some more salty mineral and baked apple. Flavors are right to the point with decent concentration. — a month ago

Really amazing caramel color with slight hints of burgundy. Typical smokey nose with sweet notes of vanilla and popcorn. Tastes like smoked pear candy. Really unique Ardbeg! — 2 months ago

Sonoma Hillsides Syrah 2016

PnP and I can’t say anything better than Galloni, but the he gave it 100pts. This is like an Islay Scotch and another Cali Syrah had a baby that is an Olympic figure skater. That, plus fermented bean curd. Such a funky nose. — 2 months ago
