3 years on from the last tasting. Petrol coming through. First taste, though, is a blast of honey and white blossoms. But only for a fleeting few seconds before first the petrol and then the tart acidity hit and overwhelm it. — a month ago
Pretty much all tertiary tonight. Started more aromatic than the two Barbarescos but also seemed more earthy, maybe even a hint of Brett and funk. Tar, chocolate, spice, wet leaves. — a month ago
Quite nice. Very Bordeaux. Deep black and red fruit. Cigar box, raspberry, plum, tea. Good tannic structure. — 17 days ago
Most aromatic of the three 2014 Nebbiolos tonight. A bit disappointed. Expected more fruit aroma after an hour open, but still very good. — a month ago
Drinking well. Tannins still prominent but well integrated. Deep black fruit, though not so prominent. — a month ago
Started more closed and less aromatic than the Montestefano and the Barolo. But later in the night I thought it was richer and deeper — a month ago
Bit of struck match reduction, and reasonably prominent oak vanilla. Very buttery and round, but with a structured core. Very different to me than what I am seeing in another review, but that one was 2 yrs old in a magnum and this one was 5 years old in a regular bottle size. — a month ago

Some funky reduction on the nose, waxy & floral blowing away to leave salt marsh. Relatively dense for a white wine. Saline minerality, citrus pith, prominent acidity. — 16 days ago
