Enjoying a bottle or two, now and then, in Zürich.
I love this wine and usually drink it the year of release or soon after. I’ve been drinking the 2016 in 2019. But I had left a 2014 in the cellar for a couple of years as an experiment. Tannins have faded too much and it is a bit too soft. They are still there but it seems more fruit forward, a bit jammy. I like a bit more tannic grip. Still has great complexity in the fruit profile, though, and spices and herbs. — 6 days ago
Very good, but I think a few years away from what I like. Still has a young ‘spritzy’ edge, I like them more when they reduce and become oilier. But has great Riesling fruit up front and trailing minerality. Also not quite enough of that Riesling petrol and plastic hose bouquet. — 11 days ago
