I really love everything they are producing. Beautiful complex wines. I find these have much more in common with great Côte de Beaune Chardonnay than they do with simple lemony flinty Chablis. It has that saline clam shell Chablis aspect but tempered with great use of oak. — 6 days ago
A bit sweet for me. Nice weight and mouthfeel, a bit of roundness with edge of fizz. Has that ethereal German Riesling aspect as compared with a hefty petrol Austrian Riesling (but I prefer those). — 6 days ago
Day 18, 2025 Whisky Adventure Calendar. St. Kilian Bud Spencer “The Legend”. Vanilla and a lot of peat. Bit of pear too. But not to my taste. Probably have to try it with a plate of beans and bacon. — 16 days ago
Day 20, 2025 Whisky Advent Calendar. Very fruity nose, with chocolate tones. Dense. However there is a tiny hint of what I can only describe as contact cement or epoxy. Overall it’s pretty good, but that is nagging at me. — 20 days ago
Lots of tar, tea, and maybe a bit of deep fruit, but I found it quite closed even after more than an hour uncorked. Tannins were still prominent but the wine was just not fragrant enough this time. I usually really love Phélan Ségur, this time it was just good. — 3 days ago
Day 23, 2025 Whisky Adventure Calendar. Just adding this for completion. Had it several times before, one of my favourite whiskeys. — 16 days ago
