Unfortunately I can’t rate this. It is mildly corked. Really a hint, but it is suppressing the wine and cutting the fruit and finish out with a flat bit of cardboard. (We had a discussion and a disagreement on whether it was corked or not, it was faint and not noticeable to my wife but to me clearly corked). — a month ago

New world Syrah is just so different from the Rhône. Deeper, darker, denser, though still mid weight and gentle. Much lighter smoke characteristics, more cassis, plum, dark berries. Some green bell pepper too. Smooth, very mild hint of the oak. Integrated soft tannins. Nice long finish. — a month ago
