impressive - oxidized nose of grilled pineapple, spicy oak, dill, toasted nuts, golden delicous apples, some orchard fruit, lanolin, on the palate it was big & oily, silky & sexy, flavors from nose translated well. long finish, regal bearing - Macon represents great value, but this is on a slight decline so drink up! — a day ago

stunner - purchased at winery in Bekaa Valley, outstanding producer, this is an indigenous grape, generous oak treatment, full bodied w/floral profile, some orchard fruit, exotic spice & herbs, just really engaging & complex. huge body, spicy oak on palate, large frame, prominent acidic backbone - long finish — 5 days ago

@S.S. Mandani really nailed this note: didn't hesitate grabbing an obscure southern French varietal from Redwood country in northern CA. there was a distinct genuineness to this wine, a juicy savory engaging mouthfeel, very cerebral & well made (11%!) - you can tell they just got out of the way and let the grapes shine... — 13 days ago

bit shy, needed some time in the decanter - translucent ruby colored, lots of violets and spice, sour cherry and bing cherry, rhubarb, tar, sweet soil, really complex on nose, med weight w/firm tannic grip, flavors from nose on mid palate, nice finish. paired with smoked ribs and it really worked - Father's day treat. i have another of these, believe this is in the pocket right now. *more Barbaresco than Brunello — 3 days ago

not too shabby: citrusy nose mingled with petrol & apples, palate was fairly austere & brimming w/zesty acidity - plenty of tart citrus. this was not the soft round Riesling of Pfalz, this was something entirely different - thought this would have fattened up & rounded off with some age, but it was all knees & elbows — 6 days ago

whoa - this was a hedonistic wine, inky w/pungent aromas of blackberry, black cherry, plums, licorice, cassis, vanilla, cocoa and minerality running through it all - liquified compote like fruit - on the palate you get some phenolic heat but just gobs of velvety black fruit, spice and minerals, big plush, integrated tannins and just enough acidity to keep everything moving to a long lingering caressing finish. known this producer for a long time, a Priorato stalwart - their entry level wine, doesn't have the typical terroir of the region but still impressive — 11 days ago

silky & sexy, brilliant light golden/yellow colored with exuberant expressive nose: more orchard fruit than your typical Soave, vivid honeyed apricot & peach, some salinity but most lovely fruit on nose & palate. hefty, weighty - yellow stone fruit & minerality, great mouthfeel and long lingering finish. love this with some age - glimpses of Recioto — 8 days ago
