textbook Barolo - not a hair out of place, all the favorites and a screaming good deal #costcowines — 8 days ago
better strap in for this wine (oh, and I've had Pais before): Funkmaster McFunky, I've had some crazy wines but this was way up there. Not endearing to my palate, something about the vegetal herbaceous rubbery nose just didn't do it for me - along with the jolty acidity... had to pour this one out. — 10 days ago
Old World style: classic CS profile, well balanced & generous - loved the entire lineup at this Yadkin winery — a day ago
🔥 - really impressive, powerfully built, def oak influenced but had the guts & stuffing to end up in harmonious balance: gobs of black & red fruit, but some lead pencil, tobacco leaf, cassis, tomato plant, spice - voluptuous aromatics carried through to palate. Impressive structure along w/modest acidity really kept things moving through to long caressing finish — 14 days ago
solid: not showing any signs of age, it is inky & wafty boasting a lot of herbaceous notes, bell pepper, spices, and white pepper - very classic Loire profile, some wild red fruit notes and flavors on palate. Med + body w/well balanced acidity & tannic structure. The real deal — a day ago
Solid effort here: deep dark garnet, opaque, wafting cherry & strawberries, florals, herbs, spices and plenty of earthiness - on the palate the fruit is a bit tart, like sour cherry and early season berries, some minerality but loads of sweet soil, leather, mild spice and relatively juicy acidity. this is textbook and well made, solid QPR. prefer this over over-priced chianti classicos — 9 days ago
Darker gold & greenish hued, bit of an oxidized, mellow accent to the tropical fruit on the nose, minerals & stones - palate reflects nose, strong acidic backbone but rounded edges, balanced and a somewhat silky mouthfeel. love Friuli whites with some age — 14 days ago

Inky, deep dark copious quantities of red & black fruit, some cocoa & vanilla - but this was all business, regal, balanced, self-assured w/long life ahead — a day ago
