This was reminiscent of Gevrey Chambertin Village level wine: so barnyard, such much funk, just full blown wild stuff here, second night revealed more red fruit but this was quite unusual. great mouthfeel, some pedigree here, silky integrated & balanced, just unexpected profile — 7 days ago
unusual blend of Petite Sirah, Petit Verdot & Teroldego (!) and it was really impressive. color of squid ink w/wafting aromas of blackberry pie, boysenberry, plum, Chambord, cassis, cocoa powder, vanilla and some pepper. one of the more decadent wines on the nose, and the flavors created a saturated palate - that said, didn't taste like a fruit bomb, nicely structured w/integrated tannins. it may have lacked a bit of polish, but over delivered for $13 @costco — 4 days ago
very light pink for a Rose: not exactly tight tiny bubbles or anything like that - somewhat provincial style, yeasty bready and toasty, some strawberries on nose, med bodied, decent weight leading to very dry finish. good QPR off beaten path sparkler — 11 days ago

gift wine: not bad, good varietal typicity, not enough intensity & extract for my palate, but well made from a venerable old CA winery — a day ago
