1 Liter - gift from neighbor, generous nose of stewed black & red fruit, cassis, bit of graphite - earthy fleshy raisins & prunes… bet they sourced some of the fruit from Lodi. Smooth suave mid palate - again, gobs of overripe fruit, but also felt the heat. Modest finish. — 6 days ago
Delightful! Found this on close out - greenish hued, maybe a bit darker w/age but really fresh & clean florals, some melon, creamy lemon - great nose leading to plump round generous mid-palate. Balanced, less fruit driven — more secondary layers, sturdy acidic backbone and lengthy finish. Solid QPR as well — 6 days ago
Wow, this was VERY dry & razor sharp - aromatics really opened when it got up to cellar temp. Bright citrus infused minerals, rocks & shells, some florals - a lot of maritime influence tho I’m not sure where these vines are from. Densely packed mid palate, strong acidic backbone & impressive finish. — 9 days ago
Enjoyed this for years, but hadn’t seen it in a while and realized they changed their label - big time. Still great QPR: Tempranillo but darker fruit profile, licorice, earthy, swarthy, musky w/vanillin notes as well. Great complexity, enticing nose - equally delightful on palate, darker fruit but more like black cherry. Sturdy tannins, not elegant but provincial w/decent balance - just enough acidity to make it food friendly for charcuterie. — 14 days ago

Took some time to unwind & unfurl: showed copious aromas of black fruits, mocha, smoked meat notes, leading to generous mid-palate w/integrated tannins. There is clearly concentration here, great extraction without being overdone, ABV in check, pretty solid - not elegant or refined now, but has potential. A workingman’s wine. — 2 days ago
