100% Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Dark ruby/black color. Aromas of ripe black fruit, lavender, graphite and lots of smoky oak. Flavors of black berry/plum/currant fruit, coffee, dark chocolate, minerals and a bit of menthol. Long and oak driven finish with chewy tannins and well balanced acidity. Bold and full bodied. Murky garnet color with a dark ruby core. Aromas of red and black cherries and bramble fruit, forest floor and smoke. Flavors of blackberry, sour cherries, cranberries, savory spices and wet soil. Long and lingering finish and well balanced acidity. Well crafted. Interesting Alsatian expression of the varietal. — 6 days ago
Bordeaux-style NJ red blend (probably Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon). Bright red color. Aromas and flavors of red and black cherry and plum fruit, vanilla and forest floor. A slight oaky green note and an odd flavor on the short finish. Very light bodied and also light on tannin and acidity. Not well balanced. Debbie’s 60th Birthday Party at the winery. — 3 days ago
Rhône-style blend of primarily Grenache (69%) with additions of Syrah (15%), Cinsault (14%) and Petite Sirah (2%). Bright red color with a small ruby core. Aromas of ripe red fruit, fresh herbs and dusty earth. Flavors of red raspberry, strawberry and currant fruit with additional notes of fennel seeds, tobacco and black pepper spice. Long earthy and spicy finish. No sign of oak aging. Bright, fresh and well structured. Nice chill-able Summer Red. Enjoyed at Three Oaks Steakhouse in Easton, PA. — 5 days ago
100% Garnacha Rose’. Pale pink/salmon color. Aromas of red berry fruit, rose petals and citrus zest. Flavors of strawberry, sour cherries and a slight hint of baking spices. Medium dry finish, light bodied with a slightly creamy texture. Crisp, bright and refreshing. Lacking a bit of complexity but more than a reasonable option. Budget friendly. Non vintage Gruner Veltliner. (Probably a blend of vintages.). Light golden color with some green highlights. Aromas and flavors of green orchard fruit, lychee, white flowers, green melon and white pepper spice. Long and lingering finish and crisp acidity. Excellent companion with food. Solid quality for the price. I would prefer a single vintage option but understand the circumstances. Enjoyed at the winery. — 4 days ago
Bright golden color with persistent bubbles. Aromas of orchard fruit, white flowers and a bit of citrus. Flavors of ripe green apples and pears, white peach, green melon and lemon zest. Light hint of minty freshness on the medium-plus finish. Silky texture and creamy mousse that does dissipate quickly. Bit of RS. Clean and refreshing. Exceptional quality!! Blend is primarily Garganega that is rounded out with small amounts of Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Trebbiano. Pale straw color. Plentiful aromas of tropical fruit, white flowers, wet slate and a light touch of smoke. Flavors of peach, cantaloupe, lemon zest and raw nuts. Beautiful volcanic mineral/saline thread on the long lasting and crisp finish. Medium bodied with a slightly waxy/mouth coating texture. Rich and savory. So hard to put down. Thanking Petey and Kase for selecting this beautiful Father’s Day wine. — 2 days ago
