Dark ruby color with garnet highlights. Bold aromas of red and black fruit, cedar and vanilla. Flavors of cooked cherries, blueberries and plums with additional hints of black licorice and dark chocolate. Hint of baking spice on the long and silky finish. Full bodied with reasonably good texture. Light on acidity. Very fruit forward. Thanks for sharing, Chris B! — 2 days ago
White gold color. Aromas of tropical and green orchard fruit, fresh herbs and citrus. Flavors of pineapple, passion fruit, green apple and lemon. Mineral driven finish. Light bodied with a high level of acidity. Finish is a bit short and this wine is lacking balance and texture. Best with food. Kosher. — 8 days ago
Well aged Spanish Albariño. Medium gold color. Plush aromas of stone fruit, wet stones/shells and citrus. Flavors of peaches, nectarines, yellow apple, honey and white pepper. Touches of salinity and lanolin on the long and mouthwatering finish. Plenty of cleansing acidity and nice length. Bright and refreshing. — 2 days ago
Dark ruby color with periwinkle highlights. Aromas of red berry fruit, violets, red flowers and wet soil. Jammy flavors of red cherry, pomegranate, raspberry, plum and blueberry fruit with a mineral note in the mid-palate. Herbal note on the long finish and bold texture. Slightly out of balance (kind of a sweet and sour thing) but a decent expression of the varietal. Thanks for sharing, Chris B! — 2 days ago
@Delectable Wine. This is not La Perriere version of this wine. (It is just the Saint-Romain Rouge version). Murky ruby color with a dark core. Aromas of tart red fruit and wet soil. Flavors of unripe cherries, pomegranate, cranberries, mushrooms and baking spices. Noticeable earthy note on the Medium finish. Crisp but lacking power. Just a bit too tart and lacking a bit of complexity and depth. (Better with food) Reasonable but not special. — 6 days ago
Very dark garnet color. Aromas of black fruit, violets, fresh herbs and wet stones. Flavors of black cherry, blackberry, mocha and red and black licorice. Beautiful mineral note on the long and silky dry finish. Outstanding balance of tannin, acidity and texture. Medium-plus bodied. A bit more substantial than I expected. Excellent combination of fruit and savory elements. Totally seductive. Part of the Kevin Zraly 2025 Red Burgundy Master Class. — 9 days ago
Alsace white blend of Pinot Blanc (45%), Pinot Gris (23%), Gewurtztraminer (16%), Riesling (8%) and Muscat (8%). Interesting aromas of orchard and tropical fruit along with a white floral note. Flavors of green pears, green melon, lychee, pineapple, lemon and faint bits of spice and mineral flavors. Long and crisp finish. Soft and gentle mouthfeel. Slightly creamy texture but no obvious sign of oak. Designed to pair with seafood but more versatile than that in my opinion. — 2 days ago
Basic Sparkler. Light golden color. Aromas of unripe peaches, white flowers and citrus fruit. Flavors of green pears, white peach, apricot and lemon. Short finish with crisp acidity. Not overly complex but still a pleasant drink. Thanks for saving me a glass, Chris B! — 2 days ago
Dark opaque ruby red color. Aromas of cherries, fresh herbs, wood smoke and espresso. Flavors of black cherries/currants/plums, baking spices, black licorice and dark chocolate. Long elegant, yet earthy finish. Medium-plus body and ample weight. Well polished and totally harmonious. More fruit forward than I expected. Simply excellent. Medium garnet color with a dark core and pink rim. Aromas of red cherries, lavender, sweet spices, rose petals and musky earth. Plentiful cherry, raspberry and mulberry fruit on the palate with additional flavors of Asian spices, black tea and cola. Long and lingering finish (just goes on and on) and impeccable balance. Medium-light body but a beautiful mouth coating texture. Fine grained tannins. Just so elegant and complex. I enjoy the entire Purple Hands lineup, but the Shea single vineyard option is consistently outstanding! — a day ago
