2nd time I've had this. Every wine gets a higher score at Christmas. This is a stern Barolo, uptight after 4 hours of air. Yummy, though, and pleasant to sip slowly next to the fireplace. Cherry cola, raspberries, roses, serious leathery tannins. It's a 6 year old Barolo, and that's what it tastes like.

Well, I bought 2 of these bottles for a fun experiment, 1 for me and 1 for Doug Powers. Then I found how impossible it was for me to get licensed to ship from Illinois to Cali. I'm very sorry, my friend. But, you're not missing out on too much.
The first bottle had seepage, as you can see behind Mary and Joseph. Cork was blown and the wine is shot. 2nd bottle is over the hill, but drinkable. The color is bricked, the nose is a bit muted but there is fruit in there. Dull cherry and some spice. I taste more of the same. As I chew on it a bit, the wine fleshes out cherries, raspberries, gingerbread, and a few remaining tannins. This bottle passes, but should have been popped a few years ago. So, just know I'm enjoying this in your honor, but not enjoying it too much! @Doug Powers

Pulled this at my brother in law's house. All the other reviewers on this app say the same thing: This wine is thin and doesn't taste like Lodi Zin. They are right... this wine looks, smells, feels, and tastes exactly like Barbera d'Alba. Now that I figured that out, I am enjoying it immensely! Prove me wrong.

I'm not a Napa expert, but many of my Delectable buddies are. Have you had this wine? Pulled it last night, and while my palate was overloaded from other wines we tasted, I knew I was into something good. Revisiting it today for a 2nd day taste. Exceptional! The 31% Cab Franc is the star of the show here, adding great structure and depth. The wine is soft but tannic, with prominent flavors of blackberries, currant, tomato, and violets. This could have waited 5 more years. Beautifully constructed wine, and the best I've had in months. I only wish I had another bottle or 14.

Ah, the Tommy Gun Whiskey- when your staff cares enough to get you the very best! This "whiskey" comes in a handsome pew pew bottle, with no age statement or mashbill information! It is a product of France, though, so you know it's good. A pale urine color, this 80 proofer packs a whollop. I suppose it tastes like watered down scotch, if I had to pick a whiskey. A little bit of peat. Not for the faint of heart, this would do well in Diet Coke or used as a paint thinner. Cheers, friends!

Is Vajra not the best value in the world? It's cheaper than the Snoop Dogg wine at Walgreens. Always pleasing.
