Is this app screwed up or what? It's not fair to rate Chianti without food, but this isn't as bad as a lot of reviewers have said. There's a pleasant little smack of funk up front, which I enjoy. Tart cherry and raspberry, chalk, moderate tannins with a thinner mouthfeel. Slight metallic finish. I'll try my 2nd pour with a loaded spaghetti squash and see how that goes.

Yep. App has been screwed up for a week now, though it seems slowly to be “healing.”

@Dave @Tom Casagrande It feels like Delectable is only uploading check-ins in tranches, so it’s been taking 12 to 36 hours for me to see my check-ins. Kinda frustrating, because every time I check, there are check-ins I’ve already posted a response that appear in my feed above other check-ins from 24 hours before, so the sequencing seems off. Not sure if it’s a glitch or intentional, but kinda losing patience and interest day after day. Sad.

As they say “It’s dead Jim” and so frustrating - probably on its last legs but I haven’t discovered any alternative app as yet 😩

First pour had teeth; it needed 2 hours to calm down, and probably would benefit from several more hours. Astringent and bitter up front, with blackberry, sour cherry, licorice, stone, and orange peel. Will adjust my note on day 2.

This came out a bit stiff but it's blossoming. Fairly good value for a pleasant CF. 9 years old and I wouldn't hope for much more beyond. I might grill up the remaining garden veggies and some pork tenderloin to go with it.

Riserva Chianti Rùfina Sangiovese Blend 2021

A perfect pairing with tonight's sausage pizza and lasagna. Took me a minute to figure out who makes this wine, as the producer's name is in the smallest print. Dusty cherries, plums, leather, basil, tea leaves at the end. Fair acidity and a very soft mouthfeel make this chianti a winner.

This is very pleasant. Bright red berries with a bit of leathery oak. Alcohol is a little too far forward. It paired nicely with some chicken meatballs on spinach.
