Dried red fruits, baking spices, cedar, Price Albert tobacco, coco nibs, stewed tomato and leather. Maintains good acidity with softened tannins. A bit past its prime but still drinking well.
Perfect wine for watching the Las Vegas Grand Prix! — 14 days ago
Wonderful and expressive. Primary secondary and tertiary flavors. Aged to perfection. — 21 days ago
These folks know how to make Chardonnay. Honeysuckle, nectarine, bruised white peach and very subtle oak on the nose. Lemon curd, bruised stone fruit, honey, raw hazelnut, yeast and wet cement on the palate. Feels like at least partial malolactic fermentation but I would not be surprised if this spent time in concert or foudres. Really well made. Complex and interesting. — a month ago
Beautiful nose with notes of dried plums, tobacco, leather and potpourri. On the palate it is obviously tired with flavors of dried cherries, raisins, forest floor and toasted oak. This is probably 5 or 6 years too old at this point but was fun to try. — 15 days ago
Opened way too early, should have held onto this for another decade at least. So acidic and shy. Not showing well yet. Bright red fruits on the nose and the palate. Sour cherry, raspberry, strawberry and pomegranate. Much less complex than I would have expected, honestly a bit disappointing. — 22 days ago
Well past it’s prime, very tired. On the nose it is beautiful with notes of cinnamon, clove, pine resin, wet mud, decaying bark and potpourri. On the palate the fruit is gone, secondary and tertiary flavors remain. Maintains harsh tannins and high acidity. It has a very short watery finish. The score feels harsh but it is what it is. — a month ago

Fantastic out of a magnum, normally don’t like Zin but this is a special wine. Both dark and red fruits, medium tannins, very expressive. Not jammy at all. Delicious for thanksgiving. — 9 days ago
