First time trying Kenzo, fittingly while in Japan. This was lovely. Beautiful weight and plenty of acidity. SB and semillon — 22 days ago
Drying process definitely notable. Nice wine but somewhat muted - lacked some balance to give it more life. — 2 months ago
Came away somewhat disappointed, but upon further reading, likely because I didn’t know the house style. Structure was still kicking for an 01. Nose was beautiful, but wine lacked a richness and body I was hoping for. Austere. Bordeaux clearly has more range and I have more to learn :-). Drank alongside beautiful wagyu in Kyoto — 18 days ago
20 yrs old, celebrating my 10th wedding anniversary. Was perfect. So perfumed, nose was the best part - brickish color, tannins resolved, but, enough bite to stay interesting — a month ago
Classic Bordeaux nose, if a bit muted. Had plenty of life at 20 yrs old. But a thinness on the finish that left us wanting more. — 2 months ago
Super clean, some melon. Great alongside tempura — 19 days ago
This overdelivered for 2021. Maybe helped along by the 375ml format. Deep inky purple with mocha and blue fruits. Delicious — 22 days ago
This is the Paratus, not Martin Ray. Drinking way too early but who cares. Gave it a 4 hrs decant. Light handed, subtle cab. Some gorgeous notes on the nose. A few more years to mellow out the acid will do this wonders — a month ago
Nose was off the charts. Already very integrated for 22. Very good but doesn’t separate itself from the pack at this price point — 2 months ago

At 9 yrs, this is firing on all cylinders. So much on the nose, plush and ripe, and lively backbone that invites you to drink more. Exact bottle I needed to drink tonight — 2 days ago
