Another beautiful Etna Rosso from Russo. His versions are light on their feet, spicy, just juicy enough, that just become incredible as the tannins arrive and provide backbone. — 18 days ago
Amazing nose. Red berries and a punch of citrus. Plenty of fruit, no tannin showing whatsoever. — a month ago
Very pretty. Mix of red and darker fruits. Fresh and energetic. Can’t put my finger on what would make this a 9.5 or 9.8, but it’s missing something. Maybe just a few more years of age — 2 months ago
Very giving for a 22. All the ingredients there, freshness and acidity. If you’re going for this style wine, at $75, this is a winner. — 11 days ago
This feels like a wine secret. What a qpr. From fruit to acidity to weight. This wine covers it all. At $20. Could drink this every night. — 20 days ago
Adjusting this rating from 92 to 88. Wine just never got there…
Very herbal on the nose. Eucalyptus and mint. Gorgeous color, translucent ruby. Little too tightly wound to really shine. Will check back in tomorrow. — a month ago
Decanted this, took a sip, and immediately put it back in the bottle. Way too tight. After a day, it was ready to go. A fuller bodied Etna, more balsamic/woody. Delicious but not as singular as the Russo bottles. — 18 days ago
On an Etna Rosso kick and this is one of the best. Maybe the best? The combination of fruit and lively tannins that are elegant but enough to wake you up. — a month ago
Lovely. Texture and weight is amazing. Some oak, not too much. Lemon curd, a bit of salt. — a month ago
