Château Latour
Les Forts de Latour Pauillac Red Bordeaux Blend
A hearty and rich Forts, could bluff its way to a 1st growth blind. Consensus was this needed more time but decanting a few hours brought out sweet layers of cedar and dark red berry. Monster nose.

Apr 28th, 2017Classic Bordeaux on the nose with cedar and black cherry. Nice oak and tar with integrated tannins that remain but are nearing the downward slope in the cellar. Less intense than the Grand Vin but a nice Latour nonetheless.

Apr 11th, 2024Deep ruby almost purple hue with secondary influences of garnet. Blackberry, creme de cassis, molasses, anise, vanilla, baking spices, earth, mushrooms, leather, and tobacco notes; soft tannins, smooth on the palate; everything is in balance to deliver a deliciously elegant complement to the meal. ABV 13%. Vintage 2005. #lesfortsdelatour #lesfortsdelatour2005 #pauillac #pauillacdelatour #medoc #medocwines #frenchieattitude #winedown2019
