Lighter-style #bordeaux, youthful yet subtle black/purple fruit nose, medium body, chewy persistent tannins trailing each sip. Commendable QPR #costcowines. — 3 months ago
Handsome #pessacléognan; 2nd wine from this famous producer. Took a good bit to open up. #bordeaux — 3 months ago
Interesting #santaynez #riesling - tart citrus, golden apple, touch of petrol. Golden yellow color in the glass; lemon curd, applesauce finish on the palate. Delightful wine. — 4 months ago
If you like Assyrtiko but want to venture farther into #greek whites, this is a great next step. White floral, touch of honeysuckle, almond paste aromas. Medium bodied yet still crisp, stony lemon and citrus pith notes as it warms in the glass. #malagousia #greekwines — 16 days ago

After 10 years in the bottle, a decidedly savory second wine from this storied Second Growth château. Meaty, almost Northern Rhône character after uncorking. After a day in wine fridge the charcuterie notes ease a bit, blackberry, stewed cassis start to edge forward, classic #pauillac graphite and mineral notes that carry through on palate. Lovely tension on the palate and persistent fine tannins through the finish. — 3 months ago
Wow this is a special wine, such depth on the palate. The suggested tropical notes plus minerality was all there. It was a special treat to be able to taste this before release in 2025. #rare — 4 months ago
2021 was a cooler finesse year in CdP and it shows with this wine. Savory nose: charcuterie, dried plums and fig. It doesn’t drink hot, plenty of snappy acidity, some spicy notes, wild cherry and grippy tannins on the finish. I’ll be seeking out more 2021 CdPs based on this one. #châteauneufdupape — 23 days ago
Once this warms gently from too cold to just cool, nose: soft cherry cream, touch of vanilla and yeast rolls, toasted coconut. Fine bubbles mouthfeel, dosage is dialed-in, feels like an elegant rosé extension of their BdB house #champagne style. #reims — 3 months ago

Boutique #santabarbaracounty Chardonnay. I was a bit worried after uncorking as it presented an assertive reductive funk. A few days in wine fridge mellowed it out completely. While shy on the aromatics it’s just a lovely Zen-like palate sensation of creamy texture, vigorous acidity and honey + lemon notes on the mouthwatering finish. I appreciate the low-intervention transparent winemaking: https://www.sabelli-frisch.com/wines/2023-linnae — 5 days ago
