Taste of cranberries and dried fruit. A decent amount of tannins and a kind of dry spicy finish. I think that wine enthusiast Magazine was maybe a little generous with a 92 rating. But this is a great midweek drinker. It went well with the Greek chicken kebabs that we paired it with. And for $5.50 at grocery outlet quite the bargain. I’m a little skeptical of the supposedly $30 MSRP. But a good wine nonetheless. I’ll be buying it again. #grocerystorewine #argentinian #cabernetsaugvinon — 8 months ago
This was a very good Rioja. As other reviewers have noted it required a lot of breathing to come into its own. It has very strong tannins and a good finish. But the fruit flavors didn’t start to appear until at least 30 minutes after opening. A great value at Grocery Outlet. — a year ago
Just about the best Zinfandel I’ve had in quite a while. Excellent balance of fruit and floral flavors. A light, but refined texture. It was an outstanding accompaniment to Thanksgiving dinner at my daughter’s new home. Got his at the winery for $60. #zinfandel #pasorobleswine #pasowine #thanksgivingwine — 3 months ago
Really loved this wine. It pours a red-purple. Wonderful flavors of dried cherries and boysenberries. Well structured tannins that lead into a solid finish. This wine really punches above its weight. It is an absolute re-buy. It went perfectly with the grass-fed ribeye steaks we paired it with. — 4 months ago
This wine poured a beautiful purple. It has a nice nose. Flavors of blackberry, dried fruits, hints of gravel and graphite. Nice tannins also with an ok finish. As the bottle indicates, it is slightly blended with Syrah and Merlot. It seemed to have a slightly European character which I thoroughly enjoyed. For $8 (!!) at Grocery Outlet this absolutely a rebuy. #sonomawine #californiacab #grocerystorewine — 9 months ago
This wine was surprisingly light on the pour. The nose was modest and had flavors of some dried fruit like cherries and cranberries. The finish was decent. The wine would be a decent midweek drinker. But it kind of disappointed at my cousin‘s Christmas party. It comes across as almost Pinot Noir, like, without some of the subtle complexities of that wine. I have one more bottle that maybe I’ll break open in a year or so to see if that made any difference. — a year ago
The wine pours a beautiful dark brick red. It has flavors of dried cranberries, boysenberries and maybe a kind of roasted meat finish. For the price of $15 at Costco it is very good. I’ll be buying it again. I don’t have much experience with Tuscan wines. This is a good starting point. #costcowines #tuscany #montepulcino #redwine — 4 months ago
The wine poured a deep purple red. It had some flavors of dried red fruit initially. And it finishes with an earthy vegetable essence. There are nice tannins. The wine paired well with the New York grass fed steaks that we paired it with. As other reviewers have mentioned I don’t think it amounts to a 92 rating like wine enthusiast gave it. But for $6.40 at grocery warehouse, it’s a very good value. Supposedly it’s MSRP was $40, but like the wine enthusiast rating, I kind of question that.Nevertheless, I might pick some more up if I see it at grocery warehouse again. #grocerystorewine #redwine #spain #navarra — 6 months ago
Full and satisfying. Nice tannins and dried berry flavors. It went perfectly with the prime New York steak at Hanna’s for my birthday. — 10 months ago

So I put this one up for a few years. After 10 years, the cork broke on removal. But I was able to get the rest out with little incident thanks to YouTube. The wine poured a beautiful blood red. The flavors were deep and jammy of dried fruits like other reviewers have mentioned. It is dry with a modest finish. It went perfectly with the farfalle arrabiata we made.I think this was only $20 at Trader Joe’s. I will be stocking up. #traderjoes #traderguissepe #italian #italianredwine #amarone — 6 days ago
