Bell Wine Cellars
Sierra Foothills Syrah
Great steal at Grocery Outlet for like $6. Deep purple color. Like dark as night. Aroma is dank and forestall. Maybe some fermented berry juices too. Hint of soapstone. Flavors are robust, dry and balanced. Has a hint of moss, lots of dark berries (cassis and black/Marion), wet rocks, black licorice. This is an in-the-pocket Syrah. Dense, drying on the tongue, and opulent in the mouth. Full bodied, but juicy and shoot thru with bright fruit too. A great example of Syrah in CA.

1 person found it helpfulDec 4th, 2024This wine was outstanding. I think it was only six dollars at grocery outlet. It had lots of fruit, lots of body and thickness. And a very strong finish. I went back trying to find some more but they were out. I will definitely be looking for it.It went perfectly with the New York steak. We paired it with. Even if the steak itself was actually not that good, kind of tough.
