Brabantse wijn sociëteit. Amateur taster. Bourgogne and riesling fan. Can be tempted with a nice sweet wine. Whisky and cognac friend.
Suposedly a cheap wine from machentraube. The long storage has turned this into a sweet desertwine. Honey, apricot, currants. Caramel as aging tones. Bit of tard orange acids for freshness. Great gift by @Peter van den Besselaar Thanx. — 10 days ago
Must be in my cellar for like 12+ years.... Tried several times over the years, but only now it gets to a nice balanced point in maturity... At start it was mainly a very jammy fruitbomb. And that grew into a much more balanced Cab Sauvig, Carmenere, Syrah tasting wine. All sharp edges have gone, smooth and silky tanine. Just enough acids to keep it interesting, almost no sweets. Nice full herbs and spice flavours: cinamon, bay, licquorish over cheyy tones...
So the recommendation was to drink before 2010, and I'm happy I ignored that.
