So so recommendation from polo bar. I didn’t think I’d be surprised to the upside but tried it anyways. Suspicions confirmed.

Pepper, cassis, and some herb notes on the nose. Graphite, dark cherry, an interesting minerality, and subtle tannins define the palate. A nice wine to think about.

From the technical team at Leoville Las Cases. It's just starting to hit it's stride. Ripe dark chocolate blackberries, dark cherries & raspberries, strawberries, mocha coffee, rich dark wet earth, strong dark minerals, vanilla, leather, dry grass, good acidity & balance and a good finish that will only get better. Can't wait to try in another 5 years, again in 10 and God willing in 20.

An old acquaintance..............

Now the 2005, nice nose with classic notes of cassis, blackcurrant, pencil shavings, cigarbox, fine cedar, medium bodied on the palate with mature cassis fruit flavors, earth, spice and fine roasted cedar notes, medium aftertaste, drinking very nice now. 91DSP

Great start at a bit above cellar temperature, no decanting- powerful long oak and tannins, ripe fruit. Went to average 30mins later. Nice overall. 2005 Magnum

For a common Medoc wine from a great vintage this bottle did not disappoint! The wine was approachable after an hour of air, and the wine was still a little tight albeit the tannins were well integrated. While I would not suggest cellaring this wine any longer, I wouldn’t hesitate ordering a bottle if it was on the wine list!

Deep, rich raspberry and chocolate, structured tannins that didn't overwhelm, I picked up the 2012 vintage as well to age, can't wait to go back to it in 30 years.

In a great place right now but seems to have potential for another 10+ years. Nose is earthy: dirt oak and vanilla. Plenty of fruit on the palate with a long finish.
