Château Potensac

Château Potensac

Médoc Red Bordeaux Blend 2000

Alex Lallos
9.1

Dark red / mahogany color. Still very fresh and lively. Aromas cassis, sandalwood, and savory herbs. Medium bodied but builds towards a long finish with dark berry fruits and some coffee. tannic structure still If not slightly astringent. Day two was better than when I opened it last night. Needs decanting if you’re planning to drink soon. Drinking nicely now for sure — a month ago

La Chapelle de Potensac

Delon Médoc Red Bordeaux Blend 2012

2nd Growth from this producer. At peak drinking: the eight years burnishes all the old school Bordeaux parts, but for me it’s that cassis fruit core which makes it sing. Oh, & for 20$! — 8 months ago

Château Sociando-Mallet

Haut-Médoc Red Bordeaux Blend 2008

Rather more gentle and feminine than the Potensac. — 3 years ago

Fugue de Nénin

Pomerol Red Bordeaux Blend

Delon family (Las Cases, Potensac) Great Pomerol for the price. 2014 is accessible in its youth. Little bit of a modern approach, but still has some nice tannin structure. — 4 years ago
