Château Potensac

Château Potensac

Médoc Red Bordeaux Blend 2016

Dan R

Terrible pic, great wine. Structured, dense and chewy, with ample tannins that are perfectly ripe and help to prolong the flavor. Still young and burly, with a flavor profile that veers towards young and savory - coffee, bitter chocolate, iron, graphite. There's a beautiful core of sweet cherry underneath - high toned, almost sappy - needs time. Great winemaking - balance of sweet and savory, dry but not astringent, fresh and lively but serious as well. Old school styled and delicious. — 12 days ago

Rather more gentle and feminine than the Potensac. — a year ago

Château Nenin

Pomerol Red Bordeaux Blend 1999

Deep ruby color with brick rim. Well developed wine with vibrant rich aromas of fruits, wood, trufel, spices and tertiary notes: gouache color. Invisible tannins. Elegant, balanced complex wine. Château Nenin is considered one of the better wines in Pomerol. Estate belongs to Delon since 1997 (owns Château Potensac & 2nd growth Château Leoville-Las Cases). 32 ha vineyard: Merlot 78%, CabFr 21%, CabS 1%. Château Nénin is the epitome of a great Pomerol "vin de garde" (wine for laying down). Rating 4,3/5 — 3 years ago

Pomerol Red Bordeaux Blend

Delon family (Las Cases, Potensac) Great Pomerol for the price. 2014 is accessible in its youth. Little bit of a modern approach, but still has some nice tannin structure. — 2 years ago

decent now but another 5 years in the bottle wouldn't hurt. — 3 years ago
