Wine is endlessly interesting to me.
A unique nose highlights this wine. I’m certain there is a Gouda cheese character on the nose along with a hint of chopped wood and a bit of tobacco. Medium body and needs a few seconds to rest into the palate before revealing itself. Pepper, black fruit, baking spice, and cigar smoke on the finish. — 19 days ago
A good and satisfactory wine that disappoints in only one way. It lacks a distinctness and character you would hope for from a wine of this stature. It brings what you would expect from a quality white in the region but offers nothing beyond that. — 17 days ago
A delicious old world nose starts you off highlighted by rich cassis, pepper, and old leather. Tart tannins pop the palate at first but settle in nicely. Would pair well with any formidable richly seasoned red meat dish you could toss at it. Vanilla, smoke, and wood come through on the palate and may overshadow the fruit a bit. — a month ago
