Wine is endlessly interesting to me.
I know I will enjoy a wine when it fills the room with a gorgeous aroma the moment it hits the decanter. The initial aroma brings leather, pepper, and a combination of fruit flavors including currant and blackberry. I’m appreciating restraint in winemaking more and more, and this wine serves as a good example. It’s remarkable the flavor profile this wine shows considering the aging was done in concrete vats. The body is a tad light for my palate, but the tannin contribution from the grape clusters is impressive. — 2 months ago
