Very reserved aromatically. Pretty and soft, with plum black tea and cocoa notes. Like many 2012s, it’s missing some mid palate density, but works quite well for current / short term drinking

Vintage 2012 / a favorite and reliable wine for Sunday lunch with rumpsteak, mushrooms and chicory from the oven. Some development in colour, a mix in smell of cherries and plums, vanilla. Still tannic in taste but not disturbing after aeration. This #poujeaux delivers, it is #moulis reliability. Fine wine from a year one need not to put away a decade before enjoying it. #medoc 48% cabernet sauvignon 43% merlot 6% petit verdot 3% cabernet franc

Big thumbs up for this wine. Love the powdery tannins, balanced acidity and subtle dark fruits #moulisenmedoc

Very expressive nose. Damson plum, black cherry, sage. A little mocha on the finish. Drinking well with some air/decanting at this very early stage.

A bit watery, a weird watery taste for some reason.

Had in Switzerland. Great with steak as it’s heavier.

Fresh and light nose, a little acidity on the finish. Tobacco and vanilla on the mouth. Seems it could take a couple more years before fully enjoying. Still, a great pairing with a leg of lamb and potatoes.
