Château d'Armailhac

Pauillac Red Bordeaux Blend 2012

Deep ruby hue with fuchsia rim variation. Dark cherry preserves, creme de cassis, fig jam, blackberry, leather, cedar, smoked red meat, wet earth, black truffle, crushed rose, bay leaves, and sage. Deliciously balanced. Lovely structure and complexity and a long, elegant finish. Vintage 2012. ABV 13.5%. #chateaudarmailhac #baronnephilippinederothschild #grandcruclassé #pauillac — 4 months ago

@David T - What an incredible story and beautiful memory. Thank you for sharing it. 🙏. I have no doubt your friend Jean’s work and contributions will continue to touch Clerc Milon well beyond his move to Mouton Rothschild. Glad to hear he will be next door in any case. ☺️

Château Rauzan-Gassies

Deuxieme Cru Classé Margaux Red Bordeaux Blend 2008

Delightful 2nd #grandcruclassé from #margaux - needs a lot of time to open up but your patience is rewarded with a subtle but deep berry nose with some forest floor, mushrooms and light spice. Tannins are well integrated and slide into a long finish. Just goes down so easily. — 2 years ago

Château Mouton Rothschild

Pauillac Red Bordeaux Blend 1928

Charles (Chad) Bucklin

Just a special experience. The nose was powerful and dynamic evolving beautifully over 30 minutes. A smokey phase, a pine phase, and a strong floral phase. The palate was balanced and smooth. The fruit was dead but resembled fruit leather. Two bottles opened, one had grip left, the other didn't. #moutonrothschild #grandcruclassé #2ndgrowth #bordeaux #pauillac #1928 #ctbucklinwine — 3 years ago

Château Milens

St. Émilion Grand Cru Red Bordeaux Blend 2010

#stemilion #grandcruclassé Deep ruby, needed to open to decant, tight at beginning, then dark jammy cherries and plums, seems pure #Merlot, dark chocolate and hint of pepper. Very little tertiary notes, a little savoury sweet marinated meat. Dry, soft entry, medium acidity, pronounced silky smooth tannins, high alcohol. Full bodied and medium+ flavor intensity. Very good. I feel like this wine is overtly alcoholic and lacking intensity of aromas and flavors. There's no precision, no standout complexity or character because it's 14.5 alcohol and it seems like it could use a little mojo or funk. Very sleek very sexy, whatevers, but I'm digging the slightly green and funky Lalande that I'm tasting side by side that's half the price. — 3 years ago
