Saturday night and Love to have a Carmenere. I have opened the 2014 Casa Silva Los Lingues Vineyard Carmenere. The Colchagua Valley of Chile seem to have it going on. You have really got to like the green vegetal notes to really get into this wine and it just so happens I really like the green in my wines.
On the nose I have strawberry, red raspberry a kind of a saucy component, green bell pepper, green peppercorn, and a granite minerality.
The palate has GREEN BELL PEPPER whew in spades, red fruit with tart raspberry, tart red cherry, herbaceous notes, light oak that is well integrated.
This wine is medium bodied, medium + acidity with sweet refined tannins that leads to an enjoyable long finish. This wine has good balance that makes it a pleasure to drink. Have a safe and continued enjoyable weekend. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷 — 7 days ago
It is Saturday night and it is time to open this pleasing 2016 Elk Cove Pinot Noir Rose.
The aromas are fruit forward notes of strawberries, red raspberries, maraschino cherries, clementines, and wet river rocks.
Upon the first sip juicy fruit sweeps across your palate with ripe strawberries, tart cherry, red raspberry, nectarines, lime peel and wet river pebbles.
This is an easy drinker medium body with medium + acidity, grippy tannin with a crisp long finish. Keep enjoying the weekend. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷 — 22 days ago
Last night I had dinner at Harry & Izzys Steakhouse in Indianapolis, IN and had the 2014 Penner Ash Willamette Valley Pinot Noir.
I had this with the 20oz Bone in Ribeye, grilled asparagus, French Onion Soup, redskined potatoes and creme brulee. This wine went very well with the meal.
The wine had a very tight nose and I had to swirl a lot in order to get it to open up. Once I did there were black berries, black cherry, cranberry, strawberry, cherry cola, anise, spice, tobacco and some smoke.
On the palate there was strawberry, raspberry, red plum, spice, cherry, mushroom and some forest floor.
This wine is medium bodied, medium to medium + acidity, medium silky tannins with a clean long finish.
A nice wine with enjoyable company makes for a wonderful evening. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷. — a month ago

This 2013 Sandrone Barbera d'Alba is a wonderful expression of the Barbera grape and Piedmont.
The notes of cherry, red raspberry, red currants, lavender, leather, green herbaceous notes, and damp soil.
On the palate is dark cherry, red raspberry, tart cranberry, plum, cassie and chewy wet soil.
This wine has a beautifully full mouth feel yet romantically seamless. There is medium + acidity with finely grained tannins that provides a good long finish.
This wine is not expensive and provides the sense of place on looks for in a more expensive nebbiolo. Have a great week and be safe. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷 — 12 days ago
Tonight we are relaxing with a fine Willamette Valley Pinot Noir the 2014 Arterberry Maresh Maresh Vinyard Dundee Hills Pinot Noir. I'm loving the Willamette Valley Pinot's more and more each time I open one. Being compared to Burgundy and with every bottle I open goes to prove this to be true.
Arterberry Maresh is one of the oldest vineyards in the Willamette Valley with root stock over 40 years old.
On the nose is plush velvety fruit of bing cherry, cranberry, raspberry, vanilla, clove, truffles and some real nice earthy notes.
The nose is confirmed with tart cherry, cranberry, raspberry, clove, vanilla, mushrooms, and earthy notes.
The wine is well balanced accrossed the board with a medium to full supple bodied mouthfeel. Medium + acidity making the mouth water leaving you wanting more, fine mouth coating tannins with a.long unending finish that lasts well into the next sip.
Have a safe and enjoyable rest of the week. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷 — 25 days ago

Last Thursday I had the pleasure opening this 2010 Dominus Napanook Bordeaux Blend. 98% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Petit Verdot. I am sure that the dinner with my beautiful wife, the special occasion, the restaurant and the city we were in had a lot of influence on my rating, but isn't that why we love this incredible elixir so much. It is able to transform and transfigure any occasion or situation.
Upon opening at the table the aromas came wafting over to my senses and at the pour and swirling, dark fruit danced pleasingly into a distinct show of black cherry, blackberry, plum, licorice, black pepper, violets, vanilla, old worn leather, graphite and dark soil.
The dance that ensued once crossing my lips was as sensuous as one can get from wine. The dark fruit continues with black cherry, blackberry, black plum, black currants, black pepper, vanilla, a touch of smoky oak and beautiful earthy minerality.
This wine is everything I look for in a Bordeaux Blend. This wine took me back to when I first encountered this varietal. A full round bodied wine with medium + acidity, chewy unctous tannins that led to a long sexy finish.
Needless to say I thoroughly enjoyed everything about this evening and I wish everyone to experience wine in the manor it should be. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷 — 11 days ago
Welcome to the weekend! I have opened the Andre Jacquart Premier Cru Blanc de Blancs Brut Champagne. A nice way to start the weekend off right.
