Paul Hobbs

Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2003

This wine has so many things going for it. #1 - it’s a 2003 which is one of my favorite California vintages and then #2 - it’s paul Hobbs. Consistently delicious. — a month ago

Lewis Wines

Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 1996

Tasting of nine 1996 Cabernets, Merlots and Bordeaux blends from California, Bordeaux and Australia. The Lewis came through as expected with classic pepper nose. My #2 — 2 months ago

Dehlinger Winery

Old Vines Altamont Pinot Noir 2009

Tasting of 10 of the 2007-2011 Dehlinger Pinots. Eva Delingher was kind enough to join our tasting and answer all of our random questions. Wow - what a nose and on the palate. My #2 of 10 — 2 months ago

@Daron Watson It was the 2009. Interestingly, all the 2007s were the lowest ranked of the vintages and the 2009s at the too.

Viña Nora

Peitan Rías Baixas Albariño 2019

It was okay. Didn't love it, didn't hate it. Maybe good for bottle #2 — 14 days ago

Sottimano

Fausoni Barbaresco Nebbiolo 2014

Alder Yarrow
9.2

Lunch wine #2 - perfect with a slight chill on it, letting strawberry and smoky earth, dried herbs, flowers, and licorice swirl refreshingly on the palate. The “Fausoni” comes from 40-year-old vines. This wine is in prime drinking shape but would easily last and probably improve for another decade I think. — a month ago

Love that stuff. I had another of my 2013s a few weeks ago... and had the same thought; tasted great in the moment but might even be better with patience. Cheers.

Immortal Estate

Slope Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon

Outstanding... At Least 94+ on my scale, just assessing whether it's even better.

Deep extracted red in color. Red, mint, Blue fruit on the nose. Herbal, spice, soooo much going on. I will provide more notes on bottle
#2 of 3. But for now...

Mollydooker

Carnival of Love McLaren Vale Shiraz 2003

Good god this was fantastic! Only misgiving is that I opened it 20yrs before prime... super soft, lush red plum, vanilla, sandlewood. Just a heaping glass of flavor. Tons of sediment, but that’s what a toothbrush is for, right? Drank this w/ a matching Enchanted Path (just slightly less rich) - for daughter #2 college grad & loved every drop of it. — 24 days ago

Deux Punx

Rosé Pinot Gris 2020

Wine #2 of the evening and I think it was my favorite. Light, ideal rosé. — 2 months ago

Bodegas Arrocal

Ribera del Duero Tempranillo 2018

Smells of dark cherry and black pepper.

Medium bodied with loads of fresh cracked peppercorns by, sour cherry, alder plank. A great RdD (Ribera del Duero)wine for the price, hints of star anise, some saline, and of course, river stone.
A nice way to celebrate C-19 shot
