Dom Pérignon

Brut Champagne Blend 2013

Some specials on today at the Chelsea lounge at JFK. Thought I’d ask and look what we got. It doesn’t have as much of the typical Dom taste for me and it is still very very young, definitely still a baby. Great nose and packs a lot of citrusy flavors - they will certainly mellow over the years. Not a bad rendition, not quite hitting the super high marks with me right now, but very pleasant early p.m. bubbly on this holiday — 10 months ago

Bunker Hill Chardonnay 2021

Delectable Wine
9.4

Wonderfully perfumed, the 2021 Chardonnay Bunker Hill opens with a cascade of dusty florals and sweet herbs, as flinty stone contrasts hints of white peach and sage. This is seductively round and textural with depths of sapid ripe stone fruits and liquid rock minerality. A lemony concentration lingers as the 2021 finishes long and lightly structured, leaving a minty freshness that punctuates the experience perfectly. The Bunker Hill is a real charmer. Rhys Vineyards

Horseshoe Vineyard Pinot Noir 2019

Bigger and with more oak than I remembered last. Good but a little bit disappointing? A bit much on the spice for me. Maybe I just don’t like oak? It’s good after about an hour in a decanter. — a year ago

Concha y Toro

Don Melchor Puente Alto Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2020

This is an exceptionally well-balanced wine with acidity, velvet tannin and alcohol (14.5%) perfectly offsetting the abundant fruit. Cassis, black cherry, tobacco leaf, blackberry, eucalyptus, blueberry, violet and cedar are present plus just the hint of dried fruit showing the tertiary development to come. Very long and silky finish. A fabulous wine — 2 years ago

Oublié Red Rhone Blend 2019

12/2023. What a nice red blend. Fruit, flavor and makes the palate happy. Paired so well with the petite filet at Hall’s Chophouse. — a year ago

Elena Fucci

Titolo Aglianico del Vulture 2020

Wow. Perfect wine to pair with a big red sauce dish like chicken Parmigiana. I recommend you open the bottle a good 30-60 minutes before drinking. So glad I have a few more bottles. — a year ago

Blankiet Estate

Rive Droite Red Bordeaux Blend 2019

Beautiful wine. 45 days maceration and still a medium bodied wine of precision and bright red fruit. Red plum, cranberry and roasted cherries. Roses. Elegant. — a year ago

Don Melchor Puente Alto Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2017

The 30th Anniversary of this signature wine grapes Puente Alto vineyard, deep Ruby with aromas of dark fruits and espresso notes, a blend of 98% Cab Sauv & 2% aged for 15 month in French oak (66% new). On the palate flavors of black cherry and  blackberry with herb, tobacco and smoky oak spice notes. Firm tight tannins, long finish ending with fruit, cacao and toasty spice, needs time to develop, cellar a while! Tasting Sample! — 4 years ago
