Duoro red blend from old vines. Takes about 45 mins to fully open up. Dark as night with a complex nose. On the pallet it feels rich and complex with an unpredictable finesse and long finish reminiscent of dried plum, vanilla, and a certain earthyness.
Absolutely the best wine I’ve ever tasted from Portugal. I’d say drink up, this is extremely enjoyable at the moment. — 9 days ago
Fruity yet not light. Peppery notes very smooth. Perfect with light meals. Good option for lunch or pre-dinner. — 8 days ago
Enjoyed this wine. Really intense flavour. Nit fully balanced but still enjoyable. Would buy again. — 7 days ago
I am loving wine from Portugal. Needs to breathe then so nice. At first it was like prunes. But after a while was a spicy berry. — 2 days ago
Big red with dark fruits and earthy notes wrapped in solid tannins, drinkable but could sit for another year or two. — 21 hours ago
Red fruit aromas. Nice body. Dark fruit on the palate. — 9 days ago
Wednesday Wine Committee from this past week. A fantastic hosting by @joe leatherwood . 1 sparkler, 2 whites, 5 reds, 1 dessert wine. All tasted blind as usual.
Very good right now and hardly showing any heat. It’s so well balanced and integrated that I called this early ‘80s port. Plethora of baking spices, cherry liqueur, dark cocoa dipped graham cracker, dates and cherry fig. Nice sweetness. In a good window. — 15 days ago
schisty! mineral-driven stone fruit and delicate oak — 8 days ago
