Very good Rosso di Montalcino! Especially with hard cheese and Italian bread! Would also be great with pasta, grilled meats, etc al. Just okay as a sipping wine but comes alive with food!Cherries, brambley fruits, low tannins, good qpr especially as compared to Brunello! — 2 months ago
Not totally bad but I think it had not been stored properly. Not really a good wine to evaluate based on this bottle. — 4 months ago
I really like this wine! The addition of Petite Syrah really gives it depth and fruit as well as rounding out the tannins. For a supermarket wine that’s frequently a BOGO you can’t go wrong imho. Pairs well with roasted meat, hard cheese or just to sip and savor. I don’t do all the meaningless descriptions of tobacco, blackberries, brambly, etc. but as I said, I like it! — 22 days ago
Not up there with German or Alstian Rieslings for sure but I like it! Both the nose and the tongue taste have the classic petroleum smell and taste that is prevalent in some but not all Rieslings. Alcohol is a bit high at 12% but for BOGO supermarket wine, it’s enjoyable. It paired well with pork and kraut but I was more prone to just sip it without any food. Definitely better than the same vintner’s Pinot Gris. — a month ago
Good grocery store wine. Good enough to buy again especially on sale. The wine was rich, full bodied, fruity but not overly so and mild tannins. I would buy it again. — 5 months ago
Really good with pasta! Definitely would recommend and buy again. — a month ago
It’s okay but not on the same level as really good Pinot Gris. Just doesn’t have the same depth and texture as most PG’s I have drank. — a month ago
Absolutely perfect pairing with a nice filet of beef and crab cake. The nose gets your attention first of course and while it needs a bit of time out of the bottle, it’s totally worth it. Properly decanted and served at around 64-65 degrees, this is definitely worth seeking out again. — 4 months ago
Superb wine with rich berries, a wonderful nose and very low tannins. Very ready to drink immediately with no more aging and no decanting needed. This pairs nicely with pasta, pork, grilled red meats and hard cheeses. Some crusty bread and good dipping oil on the side. Yum!! — 5 months ago

Probably not technically as good as it tastes. This is a big, rich, flavorful wine with lots of dark fruit and high in alcohol at 15% which is most noticeable upon opening so let it breathe. I like to just sip it but also enhances food especially roasted red meats and strong cheeses with crusty bread. Wine snobs will undoubtedly be critical but so what! It’s just a good solid inexpensive wine that tastes good. Enjoy! — 19 days ago
