Medium ruby garnet , garnet rim . This has a spiced , slightly smoky red cherry , raspberry and rose notes , elegant and perfumed. On the palate this is very refined , with sweet red fruits , raspberry , cherry , light touches of sous bois , velvety tannins and bright acidity . Good density and excellent balance , good saline , mineral edged length . This is really open and aromatic , velvety , and so well balanced ,a model of elegance and purity . This just got better and better with more time in the glass . Drinking well now , though still very fruit forward not showing a lot of development, and I would imagine it will continue well over the next 10 years . — a day ago

Quite light straw . Very complex and taut on the nose , with crushed shells , touch of honied citrus fruits , gun flint , green apple , camomile . On the palate this is very mineral and intense with chalk dust and citrus , apple peel , really long and mineral . Good volume but really excellent balance . Perfect fresh acidity, and saline mineral intensity on the finish . Really young still but so good at the moment , though will continue on like this , probably improving for a further decade at least . Restaurant Drouant , Paris . — 3 days ago

Lighter more garnet core , quite wide garnet , terracotta rim . Quite light and ethereal on the nose , with cedar , rose , bright red cherry , more delicate and aromatic in profile . On the palate this has fresh acidity and polished tannins, lighter than the Caparsino , a much more delicate and light touch, really elegant . Sweet raspberry and red cherry , touch of anis and spice . Decent length and balance. This is a more delicate and refined experience , pure red fruits and polished tannin . Drinking quite well now though will improve over the next 5 years or so and continue to show well a further 5-10. — 9 days ago

Quite light medium ruby, with wide garnet rim . Quite a lot of spicy darker fruits , with blackberry , dark cherry , very fruit driven still , floral hints . On the palate there good density and bright acidity , quite rounded ripe but gritty tannin , with a quite sweet spiced darker fruit profile , with a touch of anise , earth and dark cherry on the medium length finish . This is drinking well and still showing quite a lot of fruit , quite rounded and ample in style . From now and over the next 5 or so years . — 2 days ago

On the palate quite elegant and dark fruited , bright acidity and quite strict tannins . Good cassis, blackberry , menthol touches , sous bois , grafite finish . Slightly deeper ruby , medium garnet rim . Quite closed and meaty at first , herbal touches , cedar , some cherry fruit underneath , but quite serious . On the palate this has more density and a little more polished tannin quality . Spiced cherry , sage and cedar . Slightly deeper fruits . Longer on the palate , with quite firm tannins and bright acidity . Needs a little time , and food . Probably better in 5 years and will hold well a further 5-10 — 9 days ago

Medium golden colour , thin lemon colour rim . Quite restrained and closed on the nose at first , with light petrol notes complimenting some honied yellow fruits, orange rind , candied peel , crushed stones and ripe pear. On the palate this has laser like acidity with good volume and definition , very mineral intensity and citrus , pear and lightly honied , wet stony finish . Very long and detailed. This is ready but also ageless , not old nor young , and can see this continuing on for a further 10 years . — 2 days ago

Medium ruby , slightly brighter ruby garnet rim . Quite refined on the nose , floral hints , some earthy sage , bright cherry and cedar also . On the palate this has more polish and elegance than the CC, with bright red fruits , touch of fresh herbs and a saline finish with good length . Fresh acidity and polished but present tannins . Balanced alcohol . Young but very balanced , needs a little time , 3 -5 years and will last well a further 10 or so . A really excellent example of classic Chianti Classico Riserva. — 9 days ago
