Les Chemins de Sève

Terre d'Aygues Principauté d'Orange Syrah Blend 2015

Les chemins de Sève, terre d'aygues, principauté d'orange, 2015, Luc Massart. Grenache, syrah and alicante.

Blood orange, garrigue, olive, strawberry, blackberry and a bit of heat. The plate is very well done with a strong acid backbone, some matter, some bright red fruit, a soft touch on the side but drying tannins in mid palate. Long rather dry finish with a bright fruit. This is a cool wine!

Nice. Good stuff, buy the 1.5's on this if you can, they do a different wine, all the top cuvees for whatever reason, in the larger format.

Pattes Loup (Thomas Pico)

Vin de France Chardonnay 2016

Too busy enjoying company and an end-of-summer caprese to think too hard about notes on this one. Fresh and lively with some texture and depth. Fruit and florals. Chablis-like but with less electricity. This is a great deal at $25. @Vineyard Gate Selections, LLC always hooking up the Pico. — 3 days ago

Great wine and hard to find!

Blanc White Vermouth

This French vermouth is the best dry or white vermouth in the world. It is a wonderful blend of herbs and other botanicals that far outshines common Italian vermouths. It’s hard to find and so good I don’t use it with gin martinis, saving it for vodka martinis, preferably with Belvedere. — 7 days ago

Duc de Belmont Coteaux Bourguignons Pinot Noir 2018

It's Gamay (main) and Pinot Noir Blend.
2017 Vintage was very exciting, and this one share many characters. It's a beautiful wine of pleasure, very well désignés by Jean Loron: accessible, greedy, and generous, (10-12€ Nicolas) The intense fruitiness of the Gamay vinified à la Beaujolaise (carbonifère) is elegantly complemented by Pinot Noir which gives it structure and a certain class. perfect for an aperitif, a little refreshed. I note 9 because it is a very good price / quality ratio.

L'Authentique Cahors Malbec 2009

Vintage 2009 / Wednesday Meatballsday (6) / Ten years old Cahors from Malbec, special cuvee ripened in new wood, a very rich smell with vannilla of course but also chocolate and some cherries. Powerfull taste, still enormous potential, smooth taste. I love it. / Paired with Polpettine, Italian meatballs from calf and pig in a simple tasty tomatosauce. — 16 hours ago

Les Fanfans s'Amusent Muscat Rouge

Loved this! Very light in color. Red muscat in amphora. Had an almost smoky affect at first. Tart fruit emerged over time. This was a thought provoking quencher. An interesting balance! Not sure on vintage though I see a 14 on the bottle (not label) — 17 days ago

Blanc White Blend 2016

Confesso que no início desprezei a chegada desse branquinho na adega. Bobagem minha. Um vinho surpreendente. Levemente aromático, com notas cítricas remetendo a casca de limão verde, que combina fácil fácil com dias ensolarados. — 5 days ago

La Boutanche Gamay 2018

Sour cherry jolly rancher
cloves
A little blueberry
Celery but maybe that was more of the tannins
A little Carmel
Chocolate a while later
And notes of pine
Some tomato
