Lean and bright. Light and mineral with real precision. Quite austere. Should age really well

Super dynamic. Lemon oil, striking minerality and great fine acidity. Sweet edges and loads of structure. Agreed she’s. Great.

At the Dom Perignon dinner last Friday night. David Cross from Moët Hennessy who presented on the night said that this was the first showing of the 2012 in Australia. More intensity and power than the 2010. David thought the 2012 will be the better wine (a definite future P2 star) but the 2010 the better wine to drink now. Almost like a very good white burgundy with a little bubble.

This was after midnight on New Years, so no formal rating. Rich, yeasty nose. Powerful musk. First Dom I’ve had and unfortunately was too well oiled to glean any notes of merit. 😅

Nice mousse with hint of pear if not citrus fruits as well. Never disappoints.
