Dave Phinney’s wines are a trip. Every one just attacks the palate and doesn’t let up. This is on the lighter side for him but still is huge, sizzling on the palate. Starting to get a dried fruit character. — 2 months ago
A fairly light version of the grape. California just doesn’t do chard as well as the French. — 5 months ago
Smells a little funky, almost corked, with grassy and cheesy notes, but the viscous mouthfeel is fantastic and the flavor is great, with just a hint of melon/pear fruit. — 2 months ago
Classic French chard. Just a hint of butter, which I’ll overlook because the acidity is brilliant, and there are white flower and mineral accents that make this delicious. — 5 months ago
I remember visiting these guys back in 2010 and remember it being good, but haven’t had any in quite awhile. This is a good version, with spicy dark cherry on the nose. Lighter on the palate, but very well put together. — 2 months ago
Good wine. Nice spicy complexity but the mouthfeel was too delicate. — 4 months ago
