Translucent red rose petal glinting star bright. Raspberries and violets, carnations and St. John’s wort, wisps of fungi, live tobacco. Palate floral with rose again and lightest cedar note playing into dried raspberry and tarragon. Pointy acid offering notes of cranberry and pepper with a neatly rolled singularity of purpose. Green and young at this stage, but will unravel to enormous depth.

The nose is mushroom, damp soil with some asphalt. Brambley Bing cherry, raspberry.

I like the fluidity. Good structure with cranberry type acid. Medium body. Black cherry, more raspberry. The finish is supple and quick.

Medium concentration with a crimson center and light violet rim. Slow to get started but evolved nicely. Med intensity on the nose with med + complexity. Roasted orange peel, spices, flowers, and ripe red compact fruit. The palate was less complex and age has really loosened the wine up. Soft tannins, present alcohol, and fine acid.
