Sneaky delicious. Doesn't jump up and announce itself. Just one of those wines that you realize how great it was once you're almost done with the bottle. Salty citrus diamond edge cut. Crazy good value. — 6 years ago
Her: This doesn't taste like Barolo.
Me: Nope. Tastes like new oak.
Her: Not really what I was looking for.
Me: Me either.
This is why we're married.

Mineral and wild Loire gamay (with a little persan). You're not going to confuse this with cru Beaujolais as it's learner and more driven and feral. With a light chill and some cured pork products - perfect. — 6 years ago
What a great surprise - honeyed and waxy and viscous but cut with balancing acidity and great texture. This goes toe to toe with the great Rhone whites. Overdelivers, and the only down side is the 500ml bottle. Last ounce on day two was even more precise and crystalline. Wow. — 6 years ago
A core of sweet fruit wrapped in spices and carried on a foundation of earth. Shockingly delicate, silken, perfectly balanced. Beautifully evolved and drinking 💪. — 6 years ago
Fresh, juicy tart dark berry and peach. On this night, missing that next gear of depth and/or complexity. Tasty, but not compelling. — 6 years ago
