Topaz with heavenly streamers stretching for perfection. Creamy head of structured perfection in terms of density and longevity. Perfect sheet of fog lacing falls like a slo-mo curtain to reveal layer two of mountain snows reflecting moonlight. Nose of bananas foster in all its blazing brandy and it’s caramelized olfactory topography; a malt image in sensory sepia to match the mountainscape. Nutmeg, cola and pecan dessert vies with baklava. The palate is a revelation in balance. The expected Belgian malt emerges in contrast to a dappled vanilla and Connecticut tobacco, pecan shell dryness, and chicory coffee before returning to a root tonic sweetness, and cardamom. #kwak #belgianspecialbeers #belgianale #belgianbeer #pauwelkwak #pauwelkwakbrewery #beer #bier #birra #biere #ale #ceveza #cerveja #belgium #belgian — 6 years ago
Great gin, even though I am not a fan of cucumber. So, it is certainly great for gin and tonic, but I wont sip it. — 7 years ago
The herbal flavours taste really fresh and it is not too sweet. Good with tonic (“BenTon”) — 7 years ago

It's kinda like sneaking a sip nyquil from granny's "tonic" cabinet, but if she had kept in a dusty old cigar box with like black tea bags and handfulls of hard strawberry flavored candy.
Menthol also. — 8 years ago
Incredible. Really do you get to drink a wine with some much uniqueness and approachability. Most Chenin (100% Chenin?) from Marie Thibault. I beautiful nose of oyster water, lemon and lavender. The taste opened up into a multidimensional notes of lemon tonic, tea notes, and green apple. A true treat. — 3 years ago
‘Cool castle bro’ label. Deep red color. Smells like old books, dry cherries and unsweetened chocolate nibs. Flavors are strange with gun-smoke tea, fancy tonic water and berry pies. Plenty dry. Chewy. Complex. Winey, like a Winesap apple. It’s not raisin-y. It could have more depth and bite perhaps, but overall it’s very enjoyable. — 6 years ago
Just can't beat a good buckie — 7 years ago
Some aldehydic lift. Dried leaf and black fruit. Nicely balanced palate - long and even. Lots of interest. — 7 years ago
Randy’s suggestion - had to have it with a little fevertree tonic. Olive & thyme botanicals. Smooth and good - almost makes my top 5. — 7 years ago
I know nothing about sake. This was smooth, water like with hints of flowers, herbs, gin n tonic like. — 4 years ago
short breaths will engulf you in all things lime: juice, zest, aid, ice ~ but then deeper breaths allow a spectrum including Granny Smith and Golden Delicious, tonic, minerals, blossoms, rainbow sherbet and orange marmalade resting atop shortbread
it’s like a mix of citrus juices with peach and mango nectar ~ simultaneously sharp acidity and minerality with a nearly creamy sensation ~ perplexing yet ultimately enjoyable — 5 years ago
Pale amber with aromas and flavors of fruit, blossom and honey notes. Soft yet rich with lively acidity and nice mineral component. Not overly sweet and ready to drink straight up now, but try with tonic and twist of orange, recipe on label calls for lemon twist, but orange in my opinion is much better. Blown away.
Delightful herbal aromatics , and when paired with your favorite tonic, a kafir lime kind of thing cones out and really graces the tongue.
Hard to find outside of España. If you do, grab a few! A cult gin from Mahon in Menorca, Xoriguer is one of the only gins in the world (alongside Plymouth) to have a geographical indication, Gin de Menorca. Gin has been made on Menorca since the 18th century British occupation and Xoriguer commands a devoted following of happy travellers. Unusually, Xoriguer is made in wood-fired pot stills from distilled wine (eau-de-vie) rather than the more usual grain-based distillate, and is rested in oak barrels before bottling. — 7 years ago

Bright straw yellow colour in the glass.
Although this wine has lovely hints of cottoncandy, rockdust and bigtime candied citrusnotes on the nose, it really impresses for combining its subdued richness, depth and complexity with a magnificent saline, savoury, stony, acidic and bonedry mouthfeel. The long and balanced finish echoes all of the above, while gorgeous citruspeel bitterness, tonic water, wet rocks, iodine and some woolly, earthy funk are added in the mix.
A wonderful example of traditional and restrained dry Riesling.
Even better after two hours of air and when served slightly warmer than refrigerator temperature.
