Always love the wines from LdH and this is no exception. Very nice at just over 20 years of age. Definitely secondary, no need to wait longer. Opened for a few hours before service but no decant. Red berry fruit, nice seamlessness, great acid and a long finish. Perfect pairing with roast chickens on Thanksgiving part 2. — 7 months ago
White wine. Very nice! — a year ago
A good champagne. Drank kind of… young? Balanced but not graceful, hefty but a little too eager. All of the flavor was BOOM, right up front, and it was more green apple rind than anything. Good - maybe not my thing. — 5 years ago
Great wine especially for the price — 6 years ago
The wine is subtle and elegant. The tannins are velvety, and the acidity rounds out the finish. The taste buds provide more of an experience than the nose. Dried plum, leather, tobacco, perhaps a softening vanilla. A few more herbs (?) finish, but I'm betting on clove. — 4 months ago

A great blend of five grapes. Enjoyed with grilled chicken thighs and oven roasted mushrooms. Combo of berries and a hint of pepper. Smooth and stately finish. — 7 months ago
Are with beef, great flavor - rich and delightful — 10 months ago
One of my faves. The unique iodine taste of a Spanish rioja paired beautifully with the duck. Wow. — 10 months ago
Love these wines. 2014 Reynard is showing beautifully after sufficient aeration, layered and complete, wafting cassis, campfire smoke, olive tapenade and violets. The palate is seamless, elegant and satiny with a liquid rock minerality, fine grained tannins and massive length. A killer Reynard that right now is even more showy than surrounding vintages. — 5 months ago
Splash decanted directly before service; enjoyed over the course of a few hours out of red Solo cups. The 1981 Gran Reserva Blanco pours, a golden color with medium viscosity. On the nose, the wine is vinous with notes of Khalas dates, dried apricot, black lemon, almonds, toasted coconut and marshmallow. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and the texture is waxy. A cerebral wine and just lovely stuff. Well stored bottles have a long life yet left ahead. Drink now with patience and plenty of air and through 2051. — 8 months ago
Blend of mostly Tempranillo with about equal amounts of Garnacho, Graciano and Manzuelo, deep Ruby with a graceful bouquet of berry fruits, cigar box spice with fresh earthy tones, a traditional Rioja, still reticent. On the silky smooth palate, elegant with layers of flavors of ripe blackberry and cherry, tobacco, smoky cedar, dark fruit, vanilla spice, very well balanced with fine soft tannins and a clean structure ending with a nice long chalky earthy character. Delicious! — 10 months ago
Had the 2016 on Derby Day 2025. Dark, rich fruits. Some chocolate with a hint of leather. Vanilla and caramel from the barrel. Very interesting wine. The artwork on the front label is absolutely fascinating. Had to do the back of the bottle to get it in this app. — a year ago
Lots of dark fruits with strong notes of cedar/cigar box. — 5 years ago

Drinking this way too early, but it sounded good and it is good. Chewy, tart cherry juice, cedar, silky tannins. Happy Friday, friends!
