Very dark purple robe with slight “brick” on the rim, very cabernet nose with blackcurrant, asphalt, cigar box, tobacco and top soil notes, fresh, balanced and complex, floral notes and hints of oak spices, its complex and balanced. Pretty long and great with food. We loved it !!! — 15 days ago
Absolutely stunning. Hallucinatory fruit. Poached pear, baked green apple, stewed quince, nutty flavors, toasted poppy seeds, grains, and just a beautiful savory finish that is so persistent. Very long, and then a high tone perfume sneaks in. Peony and exotic flowers peek through on the finish. — 21 days ago

1.5 hour decant. A majestic lite gold color. On the nose: subtle notes of pear, lemon zest, dried coconut, floral, canned apple juice, and vanilla. Taste: chalky, oily wine with white peach, lemon rind, pear, crushed stone, and a long mineral green melon finish. YUM! — 4 days ago
2005 Wine Spectator Wine of the Year.
1 hour decant(lots of fine /cloudy sediment). A captivating still dark garnet with just a touch of bricking. On the nose: jumping from the glass are beautiful notes of ripe cherry, floral, sweet vanilla oak, cigar, licorice, and mint. Taste: A smooth, creamy, balanced wine with black cherry, wet earth, cedar, and a plumy mocha long finish. YUM!!! Not opulent, just a well made Cali cab with more years to go. — 22 days ago
