Wow. Such a nice wine coming from humble origins. Needs some air to express itself. On the nose yellow lilies, apple blossom, almost a hint of jasmine, just ripe yellow apple, just ripe pear, a touch of fresh vanilla. On the palate, this really shines. Ripe orchard fruits, rich without being cloying. Blind I would place this as a village Meursault. Yellow apple, pear, touch almond, buttery and rich texture with minimal oak, crème brûlée; I’m assuming from skillful lees management . Good acidity, decent length. 13 abv. 24 usd at the grocery store. I haven’t seen ratings anywhere near where I’ve placed this, but maybe this is a product of a good vintage? Either way, huge fan — 11 days ago
Pale lemon, with a nose primarily of white and yellow flowers, fairly delicate. Some wet slate mineral tones as well. Carried through on the palate with typical racy acidity. Lacks a bit in concentration, but overall a nice wine. There are better examples of dry Riesling for the price — 17 days ago

Last drank 4 mo ago; aromas on this bottle are more intense than my previous notes. Lots of sappy red fruit, dark rose, and a lot of violets. Palate also sappy, with tart acid. Really a fantastic value at around 20 USD. Bought a case; will go well with Thanksgiving dinner. — a month ago
A nice, easy drinking Côtes du Rhône. Typical red and black fruit, a hint of black pepper, sauvage on the nose. Black fruit with meaty flavors on the palate; good acidity and length; moderate 14 abv. Balanced. A good pairing with a pretty spicy lamb Rogan Josh. — 12 days ago

Pours a deep purple with ruby rim. Aromas of dark fruit (blackberry, blueberry), brambles, hint of vanilla as well as cola, Italian herbs as well. On the palate black fruit, chocolate, good acidity, supple tannins; good intensity, long finish; alcohol is definitely on the high end. It’s a big wine for what I usually drink. I think it’s a very good example of barbera. A gift from a friend. — a month ago

@Delectable Wine this is the Kreuznacher Kahlenberg auslese trocken. Seemingly a novelty as from what I’ve read this is the only year they have produced a dry auslese. The nose is tertiary with dried orchard fruits, dried pineapple, hint of petrol, dried oregano and mint. The palate has a honeyed component of dried apricot and dried pineapple. High acid. The finish falls off quickly which might be indicative that it is over the hill slightly. Lacks a bit of concentration and with some residual sugar would likely be improved. Still, an enjoyable wine. — 7 days ago
