Quinet Collines Rhodaniennes Syrah

Tasted this on my recent trip to France and again tonight. Baby Côte-Rôtie nose of violets, high-toned florals and blackberry. Soft, juicy and creamy on the palate, with bright ripe tannins, beautiful texture and absurdly pure fruit. A one-note wine, but what a fucking note. Astonishing value.

Just fantastic. Côte-Rôtie-adjacent florals on the nose, with a little IGP sauvage funk underneath. Palate is generous, supple, creamy, and mouth-filling, with red fruits, herbs, inner-mouth florals, ripe juicy tannins, and real mid-palate elegance. Fresh without being sharp, rich without being heavy. The quality here is absurd for the price.
