Red fruit in the nose with raspberries, cherries, anise, vanilla and leather in the palate. Went very well with a 3 cheese flat bread and a spinach-kale Cesar salad. — 3 years ago
Very light in color and taste. Very Pleasant. The sip evaporates but the finish lingers Smells like a Napa wine on the nose. I can’t pick out a note I am not experienced enough. The more I sip it the more I like it. — 4 years ago
Can’t wait to try this again with a chicken Cesar salad! — 4 years ago
Nice and fruity. Enjoyed with a grilled Cesar salad at home. — 9 years ago
2014 Chenin Blanc. Briny, honeyed, with lots of pure Chenin funk. Rich golden color, full on the palate, rich and satisfying. Would like to see just a touch more acidity. — 9 years ago
Popped and poured, decanted for 90 minutes and then enjoyed over the next several hours. The 2019 Cesar Bussolo Barbera d’Alba “Vigna Santa Lucia” pours a bright ruby color with a near opaque core. Medium+ viscosity with moderate staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is redolent of berry fruit: blackberries, blueberries, and brambles along with fresh basil, black licorice, sarsaparilla, dry earth, and some spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes on the nose with savory minerals in the long finish. Based on this experience and the fact that this hardly budged as the hours rolled by, it gives me the impression that this has a very long life ahead. Try again after 2025 and enjoy through 2035. — 3 years ago
Slightly sweet bit crisp with low acidity. Went well with red snapper and a heavy Cesar salad. — 3 years ago
Intoxicating aroma. Like drinking sunshine on a fabulous summer day. — 9 years ago
Love this wine. Pinot Noir with a dash of Cesar. Bright and deep cherry, licorice, mineral and some nice white pepper hints. Complete and complex nose. Palate is full and charmingly rustic. Full of fruit and finesse with firm tannins and lovely balance. Terrific freshness. Really juicy. Drinking so well now. — 9 years ago

The tartness and flavorfulness made this a great wine with out Cesar dinner — 2 years ago
As someone else noted, a rare bottle of a super rare red grape from Burgundy called “Cesar” (10 hectares in the world) — very dark color, rich, dark fruits, some noticeable structure, this needs 3-5 years aging to settle down, a great “stump your wine friends” wine!! — 3 years ago

A big, fruity wine which loves a good cut of beef. — 9 years ago
Inky and dark purple color. Nose of nice oaky note, tobacco, cherry, plum, spice and anise. Nose is plenty and enjoyable. Taste of oak, Cesar, bright acidity, strong tannins, cherry, but a bit watery to me. Aftertaste is again hit by oak and a bit bittersweet, graphite, meaty, and hotness from alcohol. Hold this one for years to come to see if subtlety can arise. — 10 years ago

Louisville cigar company. Spicy and a good bite! Nice flavor. Goes good with a cigar. Very good with the diamond crown Julius Cesar cigar rec’d by burr. — a year ago
