No specific notes but very good vintage and a classical Pauillac, ready to drink but no rush. — 20 days ago
Christmas Eve dinner with ribeye steak. What a wine! Lovely aromatic of ripe blue fruit, crushed stone, leather baseball gloves. Almost black color. About as perfect a wine as I have had. Blue and black ripe fruit, softened edges but powerful tannins. Perfectly matched acidity. Structured brilliantly. Graphite, stone, hint of menthol, licorice. Nice medium + finish. Perfect wine yet still so youthful, many, many years left. Will wait a few years before opening another bottle. — 2 days ago
Blend of 57% Cabernet Sauvignon, 36% Merlot, 4% Petite Verdot and rest Cabernet Franc, aged in 70% new French oak, deep Ruby color, purple edges, with aromas of dark fruits, floral spice and smoky cedar notes. On the palate flavors of blackberry, plum and black currants with cacao, tobacco, licorice and smoky spice. Fine grainy tannins, well balanced on long finish, ending with fruit, cedar, smoke and earthy mineral character. Very nice, will last for next decade! — 11 days ago
Decanted for 30 minutes. Whilst elegant the bright yellow wine lacked complexity. But acceptable — 2 days ago

Medium-bodied but somehow rich, the 2015 cuvée from Le Vieux Donjon is loaded with sappy red fruit balanced by garrigue, anise, and florals. Easy drinking but not simple, it pleased a wide range of palates at our Christmas dinner. Still seems to have the legs to go a few more years. — 2 days ago
