Kitten Swish

Chateau Ste. Michelle

Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2018

Nose is soft berries and overall very feint. Slight vanilla and oak.lime berries bright crisp low tanins. The crispness lends to a medium finish and doesnt weigh your palette down. Swish leads to leather — 2 years ago

Bollinger

La Grande Année Brut Champagne Blend 2008

I love this wine. Birthdays are tough in Quarantine, but Alaskan King Crab Legs and great vintage bubbles helps keep the spirit up. Smooth, ethereal, and vibrantly alive—this cuvée spreads across the palate like a kitten and curls up playfully before easing its way down your throat. Doesn’t get much better. — 4 years ago

Things As I See Them Didn’t Exist Yesterday Chenin Blanc 2016

An austere, pale gold, dry, high acidity wine with hazelnut, citrus (pomelo) and yellow apple notes. An excellent Californian Chenin Blanc. — 5 years ago

Bodegas de los Infantes Orleans-Borbon

Manzanilla de Sanlúcar de Barrameda Manzanilla Fina

Which swish shush anyone who has a word to say against this. This is fabulous. Fino Sherry always has a hint of mystique to me (is that salt or crystallized cheese?) and Manzanilla hops in the court ready to play. Really tho try this. — 3 years ago

Clos de la Coulée de Serrant Savennières Chenin Blanc 2010

Ridiculous. One glass should take an hour to ponder, swish, swirl, sip and discuss. Intense. — 4 years ago

My Self-Isolation Quarantine Diary.

Day 1 – I Can Do This!! Got enough food and wine to last a month!

Day 2 – Opening my 8th bottle of Wine. I fear wine supplies might not last

Day 3 – Strawberries: Some have 210 seeds, some have 235 seeds. Who Knew??

Day 4 – 8:00pm. Removed my Day Pajamas and put on my Night Pajamas.

Day 5 – Today, I tried to make Hand Sanitizer. It came out as Jello Shots!!

Day 6 – I get to take the Garbage out. I’m So excited, I can’t decide what to wear.

Day 7 – Laughing way too much at my own jokes!!

Day 8 – Went to a new restaurant called “The Kitchen”. You have to gather all the ingredients and make your own meal. I have No clue how this place is still in business.
Day 9 – I put liquor bottles in every room. Tonight, I’m getting all dressed up and going Bar hopping.

Day 10 – Struck up a conversation with a Spider today. Seems nice. He’s a Web Designer.

Day 11 – Isolation is hard. I swear my fridge just said, “What the hell do you want now?”

Day 12 – I realized why dogs get so excited about something moving outside, going for walks or car rides. I think I just barked at a squirrel.

Day 13 – If you keep a glass of wine in each hand, you can’t accidently touch your face.

Day 14 – Watched the birds fight over a worm. The Cardinals led the Blue Jays 3–1.

Day 15 – Anybody else feel like they’ve cooked dinner about 395 times this month?

Domaine du Vieux Télégraphe

La Crau Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc Clairette Blend 2019

Soaks into my palate like a good body lotion to the skin, nourishing and moisture-rich but absorbs right in without any residue. In fact, the more you use (drink?) the dewier and more golden and perfect you appear, is the this the BB cream of wines? I dunno but it is beautiful and you are too.
Also there is an almond nature that haunts me as I have sense memories of an extraordinary hair conditioner that smelled of amaretto.
Okay actual notes: golden in color (duh) medium plus nose of ripe yellow plum, apricot, flowers and honeycomb, on the palate (omg what a silky) medium plus body, dry, medium acid, all the aforementioned flowers with a bit of herbs tossed in to boot. It has a small and friendly bite no more threatening than a friendly kitten. Long finish and like I said it starts unctuous then seamlessly soaks in leaving only the aroma and memory which (if your glass is full enough) you fortunately can revisit. Just to be sure.
