Rich Napa nose and replete with clay, dust and notes of mint and spice. Rich and decidedly tannic - these ‘07s still confound me - but impressive nonetheless. I’d give this 2-3 more years but only downside beyond.

Special night at the ghost table at Muriel’s in New Orleans French Quarter. Dark cassis fruit, loads of viscosity and depth, rather than the usual eucalyptus I identified bay leaf, a pine quality and menthol.

This was a full bodied wine. Dark fruit, cedar, and black tea on the nose and palate with a little eucalyptus. Long finish.
