It is time for my #FridayCabernetfix.
Dark ruby in color with a wide reddish rim.
Earthy nose with black fruits and chocolate notes.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with blackberries, black currants, cooked cherries, spices, oak, licorice, dark chocolates, coffee, light vegetables, herbs and black pepper.
Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cherries.
This is a delicious Cabernet Sauvignon from Paulliac. Nicely balanced with a nice mouthfeel. Complex, elegant and fruit forward.
This 9 year old is peaking now, and will continue to drink nicely in the next 5 to 7 years.
Easy drinking, and good by itself or with food.
A blend of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Merlot. Aged in (75% new) French oak barrels for 17 months.
13.5% alcohol by volume.
92 points.

Stunning. Dauvissat perfection. 2012 Clos is perfect tonight, with more fruit definition than Preuses as expected from the site. It’s textural, chiseled and powerful with Chablisen oyster shell minerality layered in a tidal wave of spiced orchard fruit and white flowers. It’s incredibly silky on the palate showing killer volume and density with racy citrusy acids and a sea spray-like salinity to round it out. When Dauvissat is on it’s hard to beat. And this is still young. — 15 days ago
Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of an hour. The 2006 Comtes de Champagne pours a straw color with a persistent mousse. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of white peach, lemon curd, white flowers, lightly toasted brioche with chalk and limestone minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and creamy. This is delicious and fabulously balanced CdC. Drink now through 2036. — 2 hours ago
This is nice but not the showstopper of their other Grand Cru. Leaner, soft, nicely ripe berries-lead with raspberries, cherries, strawberries & some pomegranate. Nice red and pink roses. Excellent acidity, elegance, balance but not the perfect structure & length of the other Grand Cru-Griotte. Chambertain. — 15 days ago

Deep, rich and complex. Proper mature chardonnay with walnuts and vanilla. Very enjoyable. Served with beetroot and goats cheese — 8 days ago
