The 2022 Cameron Winery “Dundee Hills” Pinot Noir is a fun-loving, juicy example of Pinot Noir from Oregon’s renown Dundee Hills appellation just within Yamhill County. While openly expressive, youthful and playful; there’s a surprisingly serious amount of depth and character to be found within it. While its brother from Cameron (“Ribbon Ridge”) is much more of an earthy, classically “Burgundian” representation of the variety- the Dundee Hills - the latter is a remarkly playful and light-footed example of how much fun the wines from this grape can produce. — 8 months ago

2022 vintage. Last tasted 3.9.26 (9.4). Big ginger mixed with lanolin, pear, acacia and citrus fruit. Still slightly "sharp" acidity. Suggestively spicy on the back end. This is excellent and should continue as such for the next 3-4 years before recalibrating/softening. Generally speaking, love love the Marc Morey 2022 Chassagne efforts as a whole as the varied premmie cru plots all deliver-big time-and carry a bit of restraint. 8.28.26. — 16 days ago

The Hébrart domaine is located right on the Marne, in the village of Aÿ, catty-corner to Philipponnat. Their 1er cru Rosé, NV is a 60/40 mix of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, aged in INOX (with a small portion of the PN added as vin rouge aged in barrique). What’s most important, is that it’s delicious.

Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of an hour. The wine pours a very pretty pink color with a persistent mousse. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of ripe strawberry, raspberry, lemon, pink flowers, marzipan and limestone minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+ with a lovely, creamy texture. Serious enough for the nerds; seriously gluggable for the revelers. Disgorged April of 2023.
