I have been at the winery. The wines are great. Yet the winery was so clean and the wine tech. so shiny, temp. controlled and advanced that I missed the old Italian way and authenticity of the smaller producers (with less money/funding) like Silvio Giamello.
Interesting, thanks. In all my visits to the Langhe I’ve never stopped at Cortese.

Walked Bricco Boschis many times. Lovely vineyard with great position. My first of Cavallotto’s 13s to open. Real density to the wine. Deep color. Rich mouthfeel. Dark berry fruit. Less lift than I’d expect in such a good vintage. Still. Lovely wine. — 2 months ago
