The average 9.1 rating on this wine is way too low. It’s definitely a 20-year wine. Now, the 06 is terrific. Dense, rich dark berry fruit, herbal notes, wonderful balance with beautiful fine tannins, a super long finish, great grip and remarkable freshness. Worth waiting for.
I love how the best Chianti’s age, I always underestimate them!!

Walked Bricco Boschis many times. Lovely vineyard with great position. My first of Cavallotto’s 13s to open. Real density to the wine. Deep color. Rich mouthfeel. Dark berry fruit. Less lift than I’d expect in such a good vintage. Still. Lovely wine. — 18 hours ago
