I have been at the winery. The wines are great. Yet the winery was so clean and the wine tech. so shiny, temp. controlled and advanced that I missed the old Italian way and authenticity of the smaller producers (with less money/funding) like Silvio Giamello.
Interesting, thanks. In all my visits to the Langhe I’ve never stopped at Cortese.

At age 55 it’s a bit faded. A little tired. But has an elegance and a weightless quality to it. Fruit not vivid but very much alive. Well balanced. This Granbussia, according to the label, was from Bricco Colonello fruit. Lovely. — 3 days ago
