The essence of Barbaresco, a scintillating prism of flowers, tar, and fruit, it is outstanding but still with room for improvement. It had been double decanted at least a few hours before dinner, if I recall correctly.

This is what all Barbaresco aspires to be. More tannin than I've seen in any one wine ever. Fruit up front, and out back, and everywhere. So subtle and rocking.
