Santo Stefano Di Neive Barbaresco Nebbiolo 1997

Reddish tawny color and mostly translucent. Obvious Nebbiolo nose with notes of tea, roses, pepper, some anise and a hint of tar. Seductive in the mouth but still has some edge to it. Good finish. Great pair tonight with homemade pasta and sauce. — 15 days ago

Nebbiolo d'Alba 2014

Solid, if still unyielding on the finish. On the nose: violets, blood orange, roses, then some nice hi-toned va gloss. On the palate: excellent acidity, sour cherry, blood orange, soft herbal notes, then the tannin kicks in, and it is dense...very juicy on the slightly hot finish. Good with our white bean stew. — a month ago

Falletto di Serralunga Dolcetto d'Alba 2016

A lot of wine in one glass. Full, foot-on-the-gas dark red fruit, but went down easy. A little hairy chested for Sunday night pizza, but fun nonetheless. — a month ago

Rabajà Di Barbaresco Nebbiolo 2000

Refined and subtle. Great weight and bouquet. Was a bit more fragile than I was expecting but I enjoyed it to the last. — 17 days ago

Valmaggiore Nebbiolo d'Alba 2018

Decant and enjoyed over 3 days. Mouthwatering middle stands up to fatty bbq or rich stews. Red fruit than cleans your palate. Nice! TBL — a month ago
