Santo Stefano Di Neive Barbaresco Nebbiolo 1996

This continued to build and was extremely expressive by the end of lunch. Huge turn around from the initial pop. Very “tomboy-ish” combining strength and femininity. Spice cake, sappy tart cherry @Joe Lucca — 7 days ago

Barolo Nebbiolo 2011

Full-bodied and balanced; nice tannins, notes of blackberry and currant. Paired well with filet, short ribs, and (surprisingly!) swordfish. — 5 days ago

Rabajà Barbaresco Nebbiolo 2009

I love this producer but this wine was less than expected. It was austere and a bit hot. I bet 5 more years or a long decant would make a big impact. — 5 days ago

Falletto di Serralunga D'Alba Barolo Nebbiolo 1996

A special wine tonight. This 1996 Giacosa was in terrific shape from the first pour. We let it collect itself in a decanter for 3 hrs and drank it over a leisurely dinner in Vermont. It was soft, elegant, warm, and inviting. Couldn’t put it down. The fruit was dissipating but it’s secondary notes were so sexy. A great wine. — a month ago

Première Cuvée Brut Champagne Blend

Celebrating my parents’ anniversary. This is everything I want in a champagne at this level. Expressive, approachable, and very refreshing. Paired nicely with homemade cinnamon rolls. — 5 days ago

One of my fave champers, but I don’t recognize the style of label. I don’t recall the gold label.

@Ron R I think when I chilled the bottle in an ice bucket with water in it the label turned a more saturated gold color. It’s normal color is the more classic beige with a gold tinge.
