Ruby red right bank Pomerol. Big nose with black fruit, cedar and a bit of pencil shavings. Blackberry on the palate with cedar and a bit of spice on the finish. 80% merlot softens this up, but it still has a bit of bite. Second glass even better after an hour. — 2 months ago
Quality Napa cab. Still struggling with these Pina single vineyard compared to the Cahoots, but this is solid. Black fruit, mint and vanilla oak on the nose. Fairly well balanced but I will say the tannins overpower a bit on the palate. Nice finish. Again, will be getting more cahoots based solely on the balance. — 8 months ago
Been drinking a lot of this. Very nice weekday wine. Oak and leather on the nose, slight black fruit. Full body, medium acidity and tannins initially but more pronounced after 15 mins in the glass. Fairly well balanced and a joy to drink. Light on the fruit but a nice long finish. — 9 months ago
18 Davies Renteria single vineyard was solid. Probably opened too early, but a beautiful nose of cherry cola, vanilla and a bit of black tea. Not as much depth on the palate, but it’s warming up and the finish is growing in the second glass. Been consistently impressed with Davies. — 4 months ago

Loved this one from Purple Hands. More earth and barnyard floor than the other single vineyard PHs. Way too early, but very enjoyable. — 5 days ago
