I can’t get over this wine! The first word that comes to mind is luscious!! Ripe peaches and pear, smoke, pineapple, chamomile, tree bark and limestone. I need a case and now I can’t find it - should’ve bought more!!! — 2 days ago
Headliner on NYrs Eve; nose surprisingly closed for such a strong fruited wine, despite 2 hr+ decant before service. Still, did not deter from an explosive palate: crushed granite, wild blackberries, wild flowers, cured game nearby but not primary. Feels like old & new world meet somewhere in the middle here, & for about 30$ that equals pleasure. — 7 days ago
Aroma of wet topsoil, deep earthy mushrooms… front of dark cherry, super balanced. Beautiful CH specimen. — 11 days ago
Wild fruit, leather, white pepper, dried herbs, other than fruit notes, nice acid. — a month ago

Opened about 30 minutes prior to dinner but no decant. Served slightly chilled. The 2016 “Blanche” pours a deep straw color with medium viscosity. Developing with notes of ripe stone fruit, tropical fruit, nutmeg, white pepper, minerals and cotton candy. On the palate, the wine is dry with lower acid. Confirming the notes from the nose, the finish is medium+. This is a wine of impeccable texture to match the king crab legs with dinner. Drink now through 2031. — 6 days ago
Let it breathe - decanted for 2 hours, very significantly leveled acidity — 13 days ago

From Magnum. Opened about an hour before dinner; enjoyed over the course of two days. Best after a couple of hours. The 2015 “Domaine de Thalabert”pours a deep ruby/purple color with a near opaque core; medium+ viscosity with significant staining of tears and signs of sediment. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of ripe and desiccated fruit: blueberries, figs, lavender, Kalamata olive, leather, coffee, Bacon fat, spices, and organic earth. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium tannin and medium acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium. This was pretty shy and awkward early but after significant air, it came alive. Lots of life left. Drink now through 2035. — 5 days ago
