1983 Nose: Broth, beef jerky and hung game, corroded iron pipe. Mouth: Bone marrow, dried flower and more iron notes appear.
Beautiful acidity keep this wine as fresh. I like this a lot.

With a kobe steak. Very alive and beautiful tart, dark fruit. Very nice surprise. I guess that is how even Guigal would make wines in the good old days?

An awesome find, at about the price it was first offered at (!). Meat, dried roses, white pepper, notes of briar and damp earth with dark fruit peeking out from long slumber and a long, bright finish. A lucky bottle.
