Medium ruby , garnet rim. Quite open and fruit driven nose , cherry , strawberry , earthy porcini. On the palate this is still quite fruit driven red cherry , raspberry , velvety mouthfeel and rounded tannin , fresh acidity, good length. Quite intense with quite primary , fruit forward , cherry , raspberry . Well balanced and fresh . Though really enjoyable will probably improve over the next 5-8 years . This is the Couterier St Veran Cour de Bois…..an eminently quaffable white, a real thirst quencher - does that make it good? Pretty simple, sparkly, bright nose, not much structure or body, but tasty. None of that acidic finish I dislike — 7 months ago

One of my favorite wines we get almost nothing of. Pure class in 23. Gorgeous, floral aromas, black cherry, hint of reduction, limestone galore. The palate is young but with extraordinary fruit. Pure. Zero hard edges and really energetic. Acid is on point. Such sweet fruit developing with air. So sappy and dense. Unreal. Wow. Nose now confectionary blackberry and black raspberry. Fun Dip powders. And the stick kind of. Palate gets elegant with such fruit authority. Unbelievably delicious. But has a decade plus and will benefit greatly. — 2 months ago
